What about Jake Desyllas’s performance did you like?

I liked that the author read it himself and had an interesting English accent that was also easy to understand.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I will definitely listen again. The emphasis on how sales tell you how to shape your business is very important. The book is short but has punch and perspective. It isn't just a rehash of others' ideas.

Begin with the end in mind

This is a poignant description of how a business sale can work. It shows the loss many feel after selling their baby. It also shows how preparing for an exit can improve a business. No business library is complete without this excellent book. I also strongly recommend Street Smarts, by the same author, which shares the business advice of Norm Brodsky.

What disappointed you about The App Millionaire?

I did a little research on the apps created by the author. They are in the Google Play store. Google gives ranges of installs. Based on the top end of the ranges, there are maybe 5000 installs. At $1.29 for most and $4.99 for one, you have max of $10k total sales. Apple doesn't provide stats but many suggest a 20 purchase/1 review ratio. Based on low numbers of reviews, sales are slow in the iTunes store as well. Nobody is getting rich.

I decided to look at apps I might create and found that there is a lot of competition and many apps are free. I have decided this area won't work for me.

I would have emailed the author to address these issues, but I didn't find contact info on the internet.

The author is named Greg and is from Georgia. Two of the reviews on Audible have the same name and state.

I am returning my Audible book.

Business Fiction-Interesting and Well-done

Would you listen to The Goal again? Why?

Yes. The Goal kept one going. The sub-plot involving the family is a welcome addition.

The main character.

It was great to see the power of focus in restoring the business and personal life of the main character.

I want to get some of the non-fiction books of Goldratt in hard copy to better understand nuts and bolts of Goldratt's principles.

Too foreign to my western world view

Was Creating Affluence worth the listening time?

I got tired of the book and quit. It was not practical enough and had a spiritualistic view.
