Historia
When Charlie Blair left Chicago behind—and her old life as Lauren Claybourne—for a gig in the Santa Cruz DA's office, things were supposed to be easier. Or at least nothing that a couple of Xanax and a tumbler of vodka couldn't handle. The plan had been working, until the murder of a local bail bondsman Shelly Hansen. Enter: hotshot prosecutor Erika Lorman, she of the stellar record and unfailing touch with juries, a veritable legend in her own right.

Well written, entertaining, fast paced!
Revisado: 02-12-23
I became a Marcia Clark fan in the 90’s by watching her every day during the OJ trial. I was obsessed with the trial and she made me want to be a prosecuting attorney (I am not) because she was so good! I knew she had written some books but never took the time to see what they were - I finally downloaded this one on a whim. I had no expectation one way of the other….just because you were a good attorney does not necessarily constitute a great author - but OMG…I LOVED this book. It was a great story and so well written. I liked the narrators (both Marcia and Cathy Lepard) and really connected to both of the main attorneys (even though they were so different) on many levels. Once again - i wish I were a prosecutor! I am now going to go download a few more that Marcia has written!

Another GREAT Connelly book
Revisado: 03-01-21
I have listened to every Michael Connelly book out there and I eagerly await his next. The Law of Innocence did not let me down. From the very first word I was engaged, and at the end I wished for more.
The political side. - while I do not agree with his clearly liberal bias - does not really bother me. I can discard that without notice and enjoy the story thoroughly.
My husband and I have listened to over 400 audible books and when we are lacking something new - we will go back and re read Connelly’s.

Back when Harry Bosch was just a rookie homicide detective, he had an inspiring mentor who taught him to take the work personally and light the fire of relentlessness for every case. Now that mentor, John Jack Thompson, is dead, but after his funeral his widow hands Bosch a murder book that Thompson took with him when he left the LAPD 20 years before - the unsolved killing of a troubled young man in an alley used for drug deals.

Revisado: 11-05-19
I discovered Michael Connelly audiobooks two years ago (I know....a bit late to the party) and immediately became obsessed. I listened to EVERY one in order and now eagerly await the next. This one might be the best yet....I’m just bummed that now I have to wait (a year?) for whatever he puts out next.
Great story line(s)...great characters....keeps you interested every minute and so well written! You cannot go wrong with any Michael Connelly book!

Historia
As the true horrors of the Third Reich began to be exposed immediately after World War II, the Nazi war criminals who committed genocide went on the run. A few were soon caught, including the notorious SS leader Heinrich Himmler. Others, however, evaded capture through a sophisticated Nazi organization designed to hide them. Among them were Josef Mengele, the “Angel of Death” who performed hideous medical experiments at Auschwitz; Martin Bormann, Hitler’s brutal personal secretary; Klaus Barbie, the cruel "Butcher of Lyon"; and perhaps the most awful Nazi of all: Adolf Eichmann.

Had my history teachers in high school and college been this engaging I might already know everything in this book! A fantastic way to learn about what happened after the war to all the Nazi war criminals. Fast paced yet thorough, this book had so much in it I listened twice.

Ok Story - Ending is pathetic
Revisado: 08-09-18
I was only so so on this book until the end - then I felt downright robbed. It was tedious at times to get to the end, although there were some very clever twists and turns along the way. Right when youve trudged though all of it........the reader says...THE END. I was shocked -- what a way to ensure you get people to buy your next book. Won't be me....feel cheated.

I have no idea how this got good reviews - I listened thinking it had to get better or that there was some great twist in the end. I don’t usually write reviews - especially negative ones but this was seriously one of the worst books I have ever listened to.

On the right side of the law. Sort of. Sebastian Rudd is not your typical street lawyer. He works out of a customized bulletproof van, complete with Wi-Fi, a bar, a small fridge, fine leather chairs, a hidden gun compartment, and a heavily armed driver. He has no firm, no partners, no associates, and only one employee: his driver, who's also his bodyguard, law clerk, confidant, and golf caddy.

Boring, poor writing and poor performance.
Revisado: 11-13-15
What disappointed you about Memory Man?
The writing was way to grade school simple. The delivery was dull and there wasn't one character I cared about much.
Has Memory Man turned you off from other books in this genre?
No
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy ?
Not sure
Any additional comments?
Just a mass proceed drama thriller with no depth
