Historia
The Gods Never Left Us contends that recent advancements in biotechnology, astrophysics, engineering, and artificial intelligence not only give us a fresh perspective on his ancient astronaut theory but actually validates it. We are - as a race - embarking on the exact same trajectory of our own interplanetary colonization, just as von Daniken suggested Earth itself was colonized. ETs are definitely at work today. And that affects all of us.

Not as good as Chariot of the Gods. Heavy on mythology. Bland in comparison to Book 1.

Historia
Catching the Wind is the first volume of Neal Gabler’s magisterial two-volume biography of Edward Kennedy. It is at once a human drama, a history of American politics in the late 20th and early 21st centuries, and a study of political morality and the role it played in the tortuous course of liberalism.

First published in 1988 - just four years after Capote's death - Clarke paints a vivid behind-the-scenes picture of the author's life, based on hundreds of hours of in-depth interviews with the man himself and the people close to him. From the glittering heights of notoriety and parties with the rich and famous to his later struggles with addiction, Capote emerges as a richly multidimensional person - both brilliant and flawed.

Historia
In 1964 Kathy McKeon was just 19 years old and newly arrived from Ireland when she was hired as the personal assistant to former first lady Jackie Kennedy. The next 13 years of her life were spent in Jackie's service, during which Kathy not only played a crucial role in raising young Caroline and John Jr. but also had a front-row seat to some of the 20th century's most significant events.

Delivers Nothing
Revisado: 02-06-22
Jackie Kennedy Onassis made employees sign contracts saying they would not divulge any information about her or what they witnessed taking place in her life. The only thing this book reveals is Jackie's diet. I suspect the book was written for money, implying intimate gems about Jackie's life. If so, it divulged nothing; no new information at all. And the narrator's brogue grates on the nerves -- and I'm Irish. I don't recommend this title for anyone wanting to know something new about Jackie O. Although the author must have witnessed many things, she doesn't fulfill the promise of the book. It's a waste of time.

Needs a Better Narrator
Revisado: 12-16-21
Rosemary's Baby was a great book and movie. Unfortunately, the narrator here speaks like she has marbles in her mouth and her reading is very dull. I was very disappointed for that reason. Too bad Audible couldn't get another English-speaking reader for such a thrilling title.

Historia
To this day, the LAPD, Los Angeles District Attorney’s office, mainstream media, and much of the world at large remain firmly convinced that O. J. Simpson literally got away with murder. According to private investigator William Dear, it is precisely this assuredness that has led both the police and public to overlook a far more likely suspect. Dear now compiles more than 16 years of investigation by his team of forensic experts and presents evidence that O. J. was not the killer.

Revisado: 12-16-21

The evidence only proves Simpson happened on the scene and ran. William C. Dear tells a story that will have you enthralled to the very end. O.J. was covering up for someone. Dear spent much time and money to investigate the matter. And if you get to see the video of the acquittal, you will see the murderer in the courtroom and his reaction to the acquittal. Simpson's covering up of this person's guilt ruined his life, despite his acquittal. Now you be the judge. Listen to this remarkable book about the crime and know O.J. is innocent.

The Real Story of Dorothy Kilgallen's Death
Revisado: 10-26-21
Terrific book. I listened to it again and again. What is the real story behind this journalist and TV star's death? Why did her life end so abruptly while still in her prime? A clandestine trip she took to New Orleans, while researching the assassination of her friend, President John F. Kennedy, foreshadowed her own death. And no one investigated her mysterious demise until this book. And her busy life -- meet her close friends, see how she lived, read about the parties she gave and who attended them. This book is absolutely riveting. Chock full of information.

Tribute to a Very Creative Woman
Revisado: 09-21-21
At first I thought it was going to be a nauseating, one-sided tale by a devotee of Martha Stewart's. Instead, it became an honest assessment by a friend. He goes into Martha's faults -- angry outbursts and refusals to apologize -- as well as her enormous creativity and kindness. It also delves into her prison sentence, where we learn how paltry and unhealthy is the prison diet, which the prisoners must consume; along with Martha's humorous description of the culinary delights. "Bring a lot of quarters," she warns her visitors, for the vending machines. All in all, a pleasant, positive book about a woman often knocked.

Historia
From age 11, in 1974, until she left the show, in 1981, Melissa Anderson literally grew up before the viewers of Little House on the Prairie. Melissa, as Mary, is remembered by many as the blind sister - and she was the only actor in the series to be nominated for an Emmy. In The Way I See It, she takes listeners onto the set and inside the world of the iconic series created by Michael Landon, who, Melissa discovered, was not perfect, as much as he tried to be. In this memoir she also shares her memories of working with guest stars like Todd Bridges, Mariette Hartley, Sean Penn, Patricia Neal, and Johnny Cash.

Revisado: 09-21-21
Book becomes a litany of episodes from The Little House on the Prairie. Why listen to them described when we can watch them. Nothing new to this book. I was expecting to hear more autobiography. What about she and Frank Sinatra, Jr.? Dull and uninteresting.
