it's almost entirely the final battle so it was kinda a slog, but everything tied up the end and having started from the 2nd series in the dfz, this was a good wrap up and explained alot

Got it at first as a bang for buck listen, but the culmination of their adventures was worth it and touching. I've also never heard dialogue with so much sarcasm, amusing phrases and insults.

I thought it was strictly cyberpunk ish but it turned into litrpg. Good news is it's a good mix of both so it's fine. a few heavy handed Character development points that were odd but overall a good listen.

Everything great except temporary quirks

Writing and performance is good. Premise is interesting.
The only big problem for me was that MC kept leveling and fighting without spending points. fighting creatures and bosses made for level 20-30 while effectively still level 1. Finally spends it halfway through so it shouldn't be a problem going forward... for a blunt weapons only class, he sure uses the spike side often.

intentionally goofy

litrpg but RTS kinda? took a bit to get used to after the initial stumble. Main character runs on luck and assumptions and things just turn out right. but it's intentional and gets goofy so it's fun. performance is good and the pace is brisk. First book only hints at the real story. Only hinting at the beginning and end. good bait to go on with the series.
