Twists
Revisado: 12-15-24
One woman gets into the sights of a horrible woman. When the horrible woman kills people’s close to her, she goes on a manhunt to find her, even visiting her high school. It is rare that I read a book about a woman without reframing qualities but the woman in the book. Fits that description. I loved the ending.

Great look at life
Revisado: 12-11-24
What happens if you are shot in the head and you have to get your life back. This book was a great look at what happens when brain damage occurs and you must rebuild your life. It is even worse when you cannot remember who shot you or the story leading up to it. I liked this one.

Historia
Dr. Briana Ortiz’s life is seriously flatlining. Her divorce is just about finalized, her brother’s running out of time to find a kidney donor, and that promotion she wants? Oh, that’s probably going to the new man-doctor who’s already registering eighty-friggin’-seven on Briana’s “pain in my ass” scale. But just when all systems are set to hate, Dr. Jacob Maddox completely flips the game . . . by sending Briana a letter. And it’s a really good letter. Like the kind that proves that Jacob isn’t actually Satan.

Historia
Beckett: If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have. I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride. My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart.

A mass shooting happens and in the midst of it a two year old is shot and killed. As the aftermath happens lives are torn apart and also brought together by common trauma. Sandra Brown takes on a hard topic and brings out characters you can love and some you can’t stand. Great story and I read it in two days.

Let’s have a reunion of sorts. One woman invites women from four decades of her life to a weekend away. I can’t imagine how hard it would be to narrow it down like she did. There were apologies, cat fights, drama and a group of women who really had fun getting to know each other. Great book
