First of all this is too long. You could have skipped the unlikely “media frenzy” that would have never happened in real life, and had a much more cohesive and interesting story. I’m sorry but there’s so many other things happening in the world, (war, politics, global warming, ect) for it to become obsessed with ONE couple who had an affair. Ridiculous premise.

Also, why would the author feel the need to name and shame a real medication? I was just put on Quetiapine for a mental illness I just was diagnosed with in May, different then the one named in the book. I felt so bad as I listened to it and how it was for schizophrenia and dilutions, which I don’t experience. Lots of people take meds, including antipsychotics for many reasons. For an author to be such a narrow minded individual that they would shame someone’s medication in their mediocre free book is so gross to me. So glad it was free and I didn’t waste a credit.

Okay I totally loved this story. Everything about how their histories are woven together and the characters development are great! But why does the female narrator feel the need to do the literal WORST southern accent I have ever heard?! This was so distracting the entire time for no reason. She sounded like Aidy Bryant from SNL doing her “southern ladies” skit. I hope the upgrade the female narrator for the sequel, but please keep Teddy!!

I tried this twice, and to my absolute chagrin, wasted TWO credits on it!!! Audible won’t let me return it. Came for Teddy Hamilton but had to bounce after I heard the plot.

I loved this book. Don’t listen to the reviews about “getting too political”. There is literally one mention of an American politician in a negative light, which is by far less then what you would see on the news. Anyone who is offended by that small segment of the book must have some extreme sensitivity that affects their ability to enjoy a fiction story. The book and it’s narrator we’re very good. The story was unique and interesting.

Heathers Narrators really didn’t put too much effort into what they were reading. “Lives in Bridgeport CT,” obviously should have been the word lives, as in where you live. Not lives, like saving lives. Pretty ridiculous. Also the story was pretty far fetched.

The Girl You Lost had potential to be a thrill f ride, but the constant nonsensical actions of the main character made her unlikeable and the story completely ridiculous. This story’s big “twist” was so frustratingly predictable. Additionally, no one on earth would delay calling the police the amount of times Simone did, and the way she acted towards Grace in the beginning was as far fetched as it was illogical. Also, there was several unnecessarily graphic scenes and descriptions of rape and sexual assault, which I assume was put in there to try and bolster what was a completely trash story line. I only finished this book to see if the author could salvage any part of this book, but sadly i found it to be annoying and unsatisfying. I most likely won’t try any of this authors work again. The narrators did a good job though.

This story was annoying to listen to. Lots of unrealistic conversations, and the whole reason why the main character Declan is holding out on being with Sidney is incredibly flimsy and unrealistic. Not that I wouldn’t accept some transgressions from reality in the name of a good story, but come on. Also, there were little errors in the narration that were just enough to annoy me. Sidney went from having brown eyes to blue eyes, and then she called her “one true love” Dylan instead of Declan somewhere half way through. Maybe I was just being picky at that point because I had already found the story repetitive and wishy washy and predicable. But I really expected more from this author.
