This is an amazing book - one of Isaacson’s best. The feeling that you are right there with the scientists as they make their discoveries and race to put them to work. Love it!

Dawkins best book yet

I’ve read most everything Richard Dawkins has written and I think this is his finest work yet. The audiobook is wonderful and I love the conversational tone and his unparalleled ability to make science easily understood. This is a master work.

Best Towles novel yet!

Told over 10 days but full of rich and well developed characters. This has the clever and satisfying ending you can always expect from an Amor Towles novel. I preordered it and have already listened to it twice in as many weeks. The narration is great and really brings the book to life. This is a masterpiece audiobook. I can’t say enough about how well done this is…Bravo!

Emotional roller coaster

I loved this book! If Mary Karr were a gay man in NYC, she couldn’t have written a more raw heartfelt and charming memoir. Leaves you wanting to order seltzer and smoke a pack of Marlboro reds on a stoop with him telling stories.

Skip this and give kids a routine and a hug

I’m a Dr. Gupta fan and I hate giving this such a low rating but there is honestly very little substance in this audio lecture. If you are overwhelmed by the pandemic and you think that hearing a professional say ‘I don’t know what to do.’ will make you feel more normal, then definitely give this a listen. Otherwise, standard good advice for setting routines and sticking to them and giving your kids more physical hugging and cuddling time is all you will find in this lecture. Not much there. I was pretty disappointed that there was no new advice and very little neuroscience just a lot of ‘not sure’.

Absolutely amazing narrator!

Each December, I tackle a new Dickens novel. This one is so dense with characters that I never would have managed comprehension without the artful help of Miriam Margolyes, who is an absolute genius. What a talented performance. I highly recommend this version.

Shocking and sensitive

Great book with fair handling of a difficult subject. The themes in the three wildly different stories are expertly drawn together. Difficult to read without feeling both the thrill and pain of the three protagonists.
