Historia
A gifted but troubled physician, Blue Calhoun runs a thriving medical practice from his Nob Hill mansion in San Francisco while raising his son alone after an unthinkable tragedy. Then one day a female fugitive with a gunshot wound appears in Blue's surgery. Even though she holds a pistol aimed at his heart, the desperation in her eyes awakens Blue's compassion. Reluctantly he is drawn to her fragile beauty, her nerves of steel, and the mystery surrounding her circumstances.

Release of old book not up to standard
Revisado: 11-23-20
I was really confused when I read this book because it was not at all written up to the quality of the latest Wiggs books. I had listened to . Audible should label books that arr to released that are very old as her writing at that time was very immature and simplistic. I am returning this book.

Historia
This “authentic, generous, and heartfelt” (Mary Kay Andrews, New York Times best-selling author) novel from the New York Times best-selling author of the Beach House series explores how new beginnings can be born from disasters and how, even during the worst of circumstances - or perhaps because of them - we discover what is most important in life.

Not up to author's usual standards
Revisado: 08-25-19
This book was somewhat boring with too many characters that the reader does not have time to like. I was really disappointed that she has a very brief episode with the character Cara from the Beach House series ( a series I loved) Please go back to the Isle of Palms setting and the beloved characters there.
