Historia
Anxiety is a survival skill gone haywire. It happens when our brain is working so hard to protect us that it forgets to notice that the danger has passed. It feels like choking, stifling, smothering, tingling, panicking - our brains cut out and we start to make bad decisions - all normal anxiety reactions. Dr. Faith G. Harper, author of the best-selling This is Your Brain on Depression packs a ton of knowledge and help into this practical manual.

Could have been good
Revisado: 12-31-24
Harper offered some really useful tips and information for managing anxiety, especially towards the end, the advice is thoughtful and can definitely be helpful for anyone struggling with anxiety. However, there are some shortcomings with the delivery that will make it difficult for most listeners to use the insights.
First, the language can be overwhelming—there’s a lot of vulgarity throughout the piece, it often feels like the writer is trying too hard to be edgy or humorous. While some might find this style relatable or entertaining, it could come off as a bit forced for others. The excessive cussing risks detracting from the seriousness of the message, especially when discussing something like anxiety, which requires sensitivity and understanding.
Additionally, there is a noticeable political bias that runs throughout the content. The author frequently incorporates political commentary, and it seems like nearly every point made is linked to a left-leaning perspective. While it’s important for writers to express their opinions, the constant political angle may alienate readers who don’t share the same views, or those who prefer content that stays focused on the subject at hand without veering into partisan territory.
In summary, while the tips for managing anxiety are valuable, the tone and political slant might limit the appeal of this content to a wider audience. It could benefit from a more balanced, less provocative approach, allowing the helpful information to shine through without distractions.

Sloppy
Revisado: 11-15-24
While the story itself is interesting, I did not enjoy this audiobook. Apart from the domain business not really being a big part of this audiobook as expected, it felt sloppy and repetitive, I found myself saying "..didn't I already hear this part" multiple times.
Also worsened by the generic chapter order "1-17" which was badly organized... as Chapter 3 starts off with the narrator saying "Chapter 2"

Could have been great
Revisado: 11-14-24
Mike makes several valuable points, and his narration of the book with his distinct, energetic personality is refreshing. However, this book also had a significant selling component, with frequent references to his other books, his website, and his team of business coaches who can assist in leveling up your business.
Also, Mike kept saying there were illustrations and other info on his website that go with the audiobook, there wasn't, just the "evaluation" and his business coaches.

One wrong move can undercut your message. Believe it or not, our bodies speak louder than our words. Postures, gestures, and expressions convey reams of information - and often not what you'd expect. A smile, for example, is usually considered welcoming. But crook one corner of your mouth higher, and you project superiority, subconsciously chasing other people away. Without Saying a Word explains how even the subtlest motions have meaning.

Possibly the best audiobook for manifestation
Revisado: 12-22-23
Embarking on the 72-day journey was a transformative experience, and the daily "keys" served as invaluable guides, each labeled with precision to facilitate seamless navigation through the program. These keys became the cornerstone of my progress, unlocking new insights and revelations each day. The thoughtful organization allowed for a structured and systematic approach, making the entire process more manageable and rewarding.
The effectiveness of the program was enhanced by the carefully curated practices provided. These exercises were not only beneficial in isolation but also synergistically worked together to create a comprehensive and holistic approach to personal development. The blend of mindfulness, introspection, and actionable steps ensured that each day contributed meaningfully to the overall journey.
One standout element of the experience was Emily's narration, which added a layer of depth and tranquility to the entire process. Her soothing voice was not just a means of communication but an integral part of the transformative journey. It complemented the content perfectly, creating a harmonious fusion of information and serenity.
I definitely see myself going over the audiobook again, mostly for certain practices I may want to focus on or revisit.
Despite the overall positive experience, it's worth noting that the language and tone of the program seemed to be more tailored towards a female audience. While this didn't detract significantly from the content's value, a more gender-neutral approach might have been better. Nevertheless, this minor critique does not overshadow the program's effectiveness and the positive impact it can have on personal growth and well-being.

Good stuff
Revisado: 11-09-23
I really liked this audiobook, I looked forward to getting my daily listen along the way.
Many complain about Tolle's voice, which for me was no problem, being the first time I heard of Tolle and his voice, I would have thought he was one of those wise old Hindu or Yogi gurus, which is a voice I find soothing. My issue with the audio itself was with the voice of the guy asking questions, it was almost cartoonish, sounded like a stereotypical dumb college dude who's high all the time, and there were some weird background noises towards the end that made it hard to listen.
Of course, most of the bad reviews are from all the "old age" close minded folks that call this "new age bs" these people will quickly leave a 1-star review and will carry on with their salty lives.
Anyway, the teachings were beneficial, and I will be applying some of this into my life.

Decent overview
Revisado: 10-06-23
This audiobook is very broad and covers a lot of key points, it felt more as a self - reflection type of listen, listening to the various traits and seeing how it fits into our own personality. A downside is there is some bias, even while he claims to not be biased. He seems to boost up traits that are liberal while downplaying and making it seem like conservative traits are deplorable, while I did agree with a lot of it since I am pretty liberal, the bias does bring the content down.

Great Principles
Revisado: 07-16-23
I recently discovered Deepak Chopra, and this was my first book or audiobook from him. Chopra presents seven timeless principles that, if embraced, can help lead us towards a life of abundance and fulfillment. My only caveat is that the presentation was not the best. The narration sounded a bit amateurish, and the transition jingles did not flow well with the message, further lowering the professionalism for me. Since it is short, I listened to it three times to better grasp the principles.
Now to the actual principles: each chapter dives into one of the seven spiritual laws, and as readers progress, they begin to uncover the profound interconnectedness of these principles with their daily lives. The laws covered include:
The Law of Pure Potentiality: Emphasizes the power of silence, meditation, and connecting with our inner self. By cultivating stillness and self-awareness, we tap into our limitless potential and creativity.
The Law of Giving and Receiving: Encourages readers to embrace the concept of abundance by giving freely and unconditionally. By fostering a mindset of generosity, we attract positive energy and opportunities into our lives.
The Law of Karma or Cause and Effect: Delves into the significance of taking responsibility for our actions. Understanding the consequences of our choices empowers us to make wiser decisions and create a more harmonious existence.
The Law of Least Effort: Challenges the traditional notion that success is solely achieved through relentless hustle. By flowing effortlessly with the universe and embracing the present moment, we pave the way for an effortless journey towards our goals.
The Law of Intention and Desire: Unlocks the power of intention and aligning our desires with the cosmic order. By directing our energy towards our goals with clarity and purpose, we set in motion the forces needed to manifest our dreams.
The Law of Detachment: Teaches the art of letting go and releasing our attachment to outcomes. By surrendering control and having faith in the universe, we invite abundance to flow into our lives.
The Law of Dharma: Explores the notion of living our life's purpose and finding our unique path to fulfillment. By serving others selflessly and expressing our true essence, we discover lasting joy and contentment.
Throughout the book, he also provides practical exercises and reflections that encourage us to integrate the teachings into our daily lives.
In conclusion, "The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success" is a transformative guide that has the power to change lives. Whether you are at a crossroads in life or simply seeking a deeper understanding of yourself and the world around you, this book will undoubtedly leave a lasting positive impact. Highly recommended for anyone on the path of personal growth and spiritual enlightenment.

Beware of This "Abridged" Version
Revisado: 07-13-23
The darker and primal side of humans—we might not like it, but it's the sad reality, and those who will never read or listen to it still use such techniques. It's a good book, in depth. The narrator was trying to seduce us, so that's on point with the book.
Though what threw me off was that they abridged it in the most 'IDGAF' manner, the audiobook's chapters are not labeled but instead jammed into four 1h+ chapters, which had me very confused at times. It definitely skipped some important parts—whole chapters, actually—including the introductions to some of the types. I'm going to have to listen to the unabridged version next.

Quickies don't match up
Revisado: 07-12-23
While the idea behind it was good, it was short. The low review is not only about the duration but also the execution. The chapters are not labeled, and the actual content willy-nilly comes to an abrupt end halfway through the audiobook, with no unwinding or conclusion. It started playing affirmations; I thought it opened another audiobook. The affirmations were most likely only added to elongate the audiobook, so this makes it even more likely that this audiobook was just a low-effort attempt at passive income.
