I’m sorry I waited so long to read this book.

So much better than the movie!

I watched to movie because all the young men I work with were gaga over it. I thought it was fairly good and when I told my adult soon that I had watched it, his comment was "Mom, it was horrible! You have to read the book. It's 100 times better". Well, he was right.
I did not expect to enjoy a book predominantly about gaming, but I was surprised at how quickly I was drawn into the characters, the plot and the whole idea of a virtual world. Pretty cool stuff.....even to a 60 year old grandma.

Loved but music is annoying...

I read this series in 2005 and couldn’t remember the story. I thought I’d hate the audible series but I was pleasantly surprised. The only part I really hated was the background music played during the high drama sections. It was distracting and extremely annoying. I am hoping that future audible Anita Blake recordings don’t have the music. Great narration!

Not what I was expecting but still a good story

Joe Jameson was a wonderful narrator! He did a fabulous job of switching voices for each character.
The story started so well and I was hoping for a murder/mystery type of finish, so the back half of the book was a bit of a disappointment, but still enjoyable.

Sometimes Hard to listen to

The narrator who does the voice of Grace is extremely hard to hear and understand. She drops into the low and wispy voice that, in some spots, was so hushed that I couldn't understand what she said after repeated attempts......so I moved on.
Story is good but somewhat predictable.
