I really only listened to this because of a sketch I seen on an old episode of SCTV Network 90, they had done an I Henry parody.

This is a quickie. I really only listened to it because Scarlett Johansson is the narrator.

There are lots of reasons to like these Twilight Zone audio dramas first being Stacey Keach, he does a great job narrating\ hosting. Another reason is the production value, it sure seems like they spare no expense with the music and sound effects. Don Johnson did a fine job as the out of time outlaw, I like the time travel element to this story. The ending had the perfect Twilight Zone twist.

What can I say? The Fourth Doctor Tom Baker in a story by Douglas Adams, this is classic science fiction! I'm a fan of the audio stories Tom Baker has been doing to keep the Fourth Doctor very much alive and well. While searching for one of those stories I came across The Pirate Planet written by Douglas Adams of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy fame. Now this is basically the episodes that aired on TV with some added narration to help explain some of the made for TV action so if you have seen these episodes then you have heard this episode minus the new added narration. This story has humor and action the way only Douglas Adams could cram together and it has Tom Baker who is arguably the best Doctor. This also includes a sort of interview after the story is over. I'm just a big Tom Baker as Dr. Who fan as well as a Hitchhikers fan, if you are too then you're gonna enjoy the hell out of this audio recording of Doctor Who: The Pirate Planet.

I wasn't familiar with Elmore Leonard even if I was familiar with his work. I was already a fan of the TV show Justified when I decided to Google search the guy whose books the show was based on. Wasn't I surprised to learn the classic western movie 3:10 To Yuma was based on a Elmore Leonard story. I just recently got a Amazon Fire as a gift and my first audio book purchase was Pronto by Elmore Leonard which is basically th events right up to the start of the first episode of Justified, while searching for other available works by Leonard I come across 3:10 To Yuma narrated by one of my favorite singers \ entertainers Henry Rollins former front man for the punk rock band Black Flag. I'm very familiar with Rollins' spoken word and I was keen to hear him read 3:10 To Yuma. Something in Rollins delivery of Leonard's words just worked for this 33 minute telling of Elmores tail of a man desperate to deliver on the one thing he had left, his word. This is a great story, it's read well and it made me want more from both Elmore Leonard and Henry Rollins.
