Historia
Among the ashes of a dying world, an agent of the Commandant finds a letter. It reads: Burn before reading. Thus begins an unlikely correspondence between two rival agents hellbent on securing the best possible future for their warring factions. Now, what began as a taunt, a battlefield boast, grows into something more. Something epic. Something romantic. Something that could change the past and the future. Except the discovery of their bond would mean death for each of them. There's still a war going on, after all. And someone has to win that war. That's how war works. Right?

Great story from the perfect author
Revisado: 08-20-24
I can not think of a better author than Jim Butcher for this book, loner hero and magic. That’s what his career is based on! Harry and Peter’s luck runs about the same too. Really enjoyed this.

Historia
Viv’s career with the renowned mercenary company Rackam’s Ravens isn’t going as planned. Wounded during the hunt for a powerful necromancer, she’s packed off against her will to recuperate in the sleepy beach town of Murk – so far from the action that she worries she’ll never be able to return to it. What’s a thwarted soldier of fortune to do? Spending her hours at a struggling bookshop in the company of its foul-mouthed proprietor is the last thing Viv would have predicted. Even though it may be exactly what she needs. Still, adventure isn’t far away.

Historia
On a little-known planet, Archmage Varic Vallenar casts a grand spell to empower himself with the magical abilities of his alternate selves. The ritual works too well, granting Varic not only the magic but also the memories from six lives. Including their gruesome deaths. Now, Varic has power greater than any wizard in galactic history, but he knows that won’t be enough. The enemies he faced in those alternate lives were apocalyptic in scale. Terrors of technology and magic. Nothing that he, or anyone, can defeat.

Historia
Captain Herix Trellis just wanted to command the UPS Alpaca, not fight to the death against a vicious reptilian alien species known as the Gorkeens. One year after crash-landing on an unknown planet and with his crew dispersed, there isn’t much hope of a rescue. One issue is they got there by a portal they couldn’t avoid, and now they have no idea where they are or when. Another problem is that over half the crew has been enslaved and used for food. It also doesn’t help that another third of the crew escaped and has not been heard from since.

Historia
Evaran and the gang travel to another universe to investigate something that should not have happened. What they find embroils them in a cosmic conflict. Although they’re happy to meet Sivaran, another one of Evaran’s plane forms, the situation is not good. One problem is that Wardax, the supreme ruler of the Zayt Empire, has been sweeping across the galaxy with his enforcers and infected swarms. His assimilation has enveloped thousands of worlds, but he has also destroyed others. The gang will need to not only deal with Wardax, but also restore the galactic balance of power.

The Evaran Chronicles Just Get Better And Better!
Revisado: 06-26-23
On the edge of my seat the whole book long I enjoyed this story so much. Whilst it’s awesome to learn more about background characters and feel the build up to even greater events the real pleasure here is the excitment of learning how the gang deal with issues as they develop and how everything from before comes around to inform what’s occuring now.

Dr. Albert Snowden enjoys traveling through time, but not when Ziekah, a timeline-traveling foe, sends him into the past against his will. Emily and V encounter Ziekah, as well, leaving Evaran alone to determine where they were sent. Ziekah is crafty, and she knows temporal mechanics well. She’s also ruthless, leaving altered timelines in her wake.

Historia
On June 6, 1944, the greatest armada in history stood off Normandy and the largest amphibious invasion ever began as 107,000 men aboard 6,000 ships pressed toward the coast. Among them were 14,500 Canadians, who were to land on a five-mile-long stretch of rocky ledges fronted by a dangerously exposed beach. Drawing on personal diaries as well as military records, Juno Beach: Canada's D-Day Victory, June 6, 1944 dramatically depicts Canada's pivotal contribution to the critical Allied battle of World War II.

Detailed, Delightful & Emotional
Revisado: 09-19-17
Full marks for this audiobook, the narrative thread is very strong which helps capture the personalities of those involved in Juno Beach on D-Day whilst not dropping the ball on providing facts and figures in great detail.
The narrator was very good, but seemed to be struggling with the French and German names, this may have been in an attempt to mark them clearly. He also, after being so exacting with the continental names still didn't get some British place names correct, this wasn't an issue, just a source of a little ammusememt.
I fully reccommend this book. 🇨🇦

As the Empire reels from its critical defeats at the Battle of Endor, the Rebel Alliance—now a fledgling New Republic—presses its advantage by hunting down the enemy’s scattered forces before they can regroup and retaliate. But above the remote planet Akiva, an ominous show of the enemy’s strength is unfolding. Out on a lone reconnaissance mission, pilot Wedge Antilles watches Imperial Star Destroyers gather like birds of prey circling for a kill, but he’s taken captive before he can report back to the New Republic leaders.

Fantastic start to the new era
Revisado: 09-17-15
I loved this, plenty of nods to the new canon we've already seen and the Legends stories that so many of us loved before.
It felt like Star Wars as I know it but deffinately has a new edge to it with hints towards an excitkng future.
The background plot has me super excited, when do we get book 2?

Characterd from a cartoon have never been so deep
Revisado: 03-05-15
This was s great book, so much better than I was expecting from it's cartoon roots.
I bought this so I could learn more about the Ghost's crew. I only got two of them and that was perfect. Now I need to get myself Disney XD.
This was a good story and a great intro, two highlights for me were Hera's first entrt to the 'Belt' for its touch of humour and the blinding blaster pack for its aptness.
I will be reading more from John Miller and listening to more from Mark Thomson.
