Inspiring!
Revisado: 10-23-24
Ellie’s life story is so charming, romantic, adventurous and interesting. Often having the author read their own book is a bit of a disaster- not so with Elli. Her voice just lends authenticity and charm. I absolutely loved this book and will re-listen, probably several more times.

Historia
Every day we experience the uncertainty, risks, and emotional exposure that define what it means to be vulnerable or to dare greatly. Based on 12 years of pioneering research, Dr. Brené Brown dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and argues that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage. Brown explains how vulnerability is both the core of difficult emotions like fear, grief, and disappointment, and the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, empathy, innovation, and creativity.

Not my favorite
Revisado: 02-27-20
After hearing so many rave reviews about this book maybe my expectations were way too high. Also, personally, I’ve already worked through everything in this book so it didn’t feel timely or relevant to me at this point (late) in my life. I hung in there and finished the entire book but it never really hooked me.

Historia
University student Anna Winslow has gone missing. The circumstances of her disappearance are far from ordinary, a fact that only fellow student Melissa Lopez appears to appreciate. Motivated by an unexplained and disturbing voicemail message from Anna on the night of her disappearance, Melissa's curiosity quickly turns into a deeper investigation, an obsession even, which she chronicles as a regular podcast - the very recordings that you are about to listen to.

Lazy ending
Revisado: 12-12-19
I was enjoying this story until it got toward the end. The end made very little sense and was just seemingly rushed to wrap it up quickly in a most nonsensical way. Dumb.

Historia
Whether you’re a sunling or an earthling, growing up isn’t easy. Shy nine-year-old Gustafer Yellowgold has to grapple with neighborhood bullies, an over-achieving brother, and parental expectations just like kids on Earth do. He would rather lose himself in comic books and dream the day away than make deliveries for his father’s raisin-butchering business after school. Fateful events put Gustafer at his ultimate crossroad when he sees a darker opportunity to control his own destiny on the Sun.

This was a fun, lighthearted, and entertaining performance. I really enjoyed listening. Perfect length during my furniture painting project too!
