Historia
When Lenina and Bernard visit a savage reservation, we experience how Utopia can destroy humanity. Cloning, feel-good drugs, anti-aging programs, and total social control through politics, programming, and media: has Aldous Huxley accurately predicted our future? With a storyteller's genius, he weaves these ethical controversies in a compelling narrative that dawns in the year 632 A.F. (After Ford, the deity). When Lenina and Bernard visit a savage reservation, we experience how Utopia can destroy humanity.

Michael York should stick to the stage and leave narration to the pros.

just weird- sorry didn't really develop
Revisado: 11-19-21
there was an interesting concept but other than some struggle between the two ideas of what the world's morality should be based on their was little growth in the character and no plot development. just a bunch of talking that lead nowhere.
honestly sad that I finished this book, the only reason I did was because the narrator did an excellent job making the story sound more interesting than it really was

amazing
Revisado: 03-18-21
I didn't go into this book expecting to be this wrapped up in the story. being based on real life events made the word come to life even more.
the author did an amazing job making the story come to life.
I will be finding more books by this author, narration was also great, not one bit distracting. I would recommend

Historia
God Is with You Every Day is a brand-new 365-day devotional from Max Lucado, and his first new devotional since the creation of the Grace for the Moment® line. Max's signature reassuring and encouraging voice, paired with the practical, relevant, and personal message that God is with you every day, makes a great way to start each day of the year. This devotional begins each week with a prayer and scripture, followed by six days of devotions and scripture for reflection.

chapters do not line up with days :-/
Revisado: 02-03-19
I just got this devotional and hit play. The sound quality is good and the reading is clear and relaxing. The content is what I would expect from the description and the author. What I didn't expect is the way this book is chopped into chapters despite how it is written. Chapters are not days, the day ends part way through a chapter and the book starts in July. I tried to logically count out where I would be and ended up in October not February. I finally found my date and bookmarked it. I hope I can focus on these devotionals instead of worrying about starting and stopping mid chapter each day. It's disappointing that Audible chose to break this book up like this. I hope to be able to say I've grown because of the content in this book. I'll update my review in a few weeks.
Happy reading! - K

the most thorough books I read in quite a while
Revisado: 01-18-19
I have to say that I really enjoyed this book. and I'm also glad that I got it on Audible. being able to listen to this blog allowed me not to get bogged down in all the long words and things I didn't understand allow me to pull out all the information that I did understand.
although this web gives lots of things that will help you on your way it's not just a recipe book it's not just a diet book and it's just not just a book about health mental health emotional health is all of those things. I love that this book wasn't written as a how to, but it was written as a why you do with some examples on how to apply it. I could see how somebody might put this book down if they got it in French but listening to it on Audible was probably the best decision I made. I also downloaded the Kindle version so I can bookmark different pages highlight text as I want to and refer to it anytime. the really cool thing I like about this book is as I started reading I immediately was able to start applying it. And while applying it and continuing to read flash listen nothing they told in the earlier chapters had negative effects on what they told you later. it's all building blocks there's nothing there going to tell you to do in chapters 1 & 2 sit by the time you get to chapter 6 they tell you to be careful about or to do only in moderation. It's a very whole way of looking at house Fitness mental health emotional house and applying those things across the board in the best meme that will hit every one of those things and equal portion without negatively affecting another. that's why this isn't a diet book. will it help you lose weight sure! But that's not the end goal, the end goal is full body health. it took me about two weeks to listen to this whole book wow commuting back and forth to work. in that 2 weeks I immediately started applying what I was hearing and I have already lost three pounds, but it's more than mental clarity that I've had that has been the biggest impact.
the only negative about this book would be it is very scientific and therefore can get a little confusing. the way I addressed this is that I merely moved past the things I didn't understand and kept digging for the things I did understand.
as far as positive, see all the things I listed above they outweigh any negative for me. my suggestion get this! download it on Audible get the Kindle version by and paper. I have an autistic son, a husband who deals with bouts of depression, and live a very high-stress life. I'm not saying this book will fix all of those things but it sure as heck can't hurt. happy reading!
