Good book, Big Universe

A good story on its own, until it started getting tangled with the overarching Core Verse plot. I enjoyed the other series, but piecing the three together is difficult. Most of the resolution involving the common thread character made little sense. Granted, I have only listened to the first Factory of the Gods installment (as that’s the only one on Audible), but even with the three Dinosaur Dungeon installments under my belt this one was out there at the end. Maybe there’s an issue with the studios, but releasing the titles in “core universe chronological order” could help.

A Sub-Genre of Fiction I didn’t Know I Needed

As an initially skeptical fan of the “dungeon” stories, I expected the addition of dinosaurs to make the story a cheesy gimmick. I am glad I was wrong; it was great.
Minor spoiler: A sentient velociraptor with a pet kitten is the single greatest piece of plot I have ever come across.

The sample does not do the story any credit. I was hesitant to listen based on the sample, but enjoyed the entire experience. It almost makes me want to rethink how I treat companions in video games, though some are still lost causes (Preston Garvey).

Another great addition to the tale of the ultimate murder hobo. I would have preferred to savor the new addition, but ended up binging it. It drives me crazy that I don’t have someone to talk with about it, even though my sister introduced me to the series she hasn’t gotten to book two.
