Historia
Kirk Douglas is a born storyteller, and in this engrossing memoir, he offers wonderful tales, favorite jokes, and hard-won insights. As he explores the mixed blessings of growing older, he looks back at his youth and his glamorous life in Hollywood. He tells delightful stories of the making of such films as Spartacus and includes anecdotes about such friends as Frank Sinatra, Lauren Bacall, Ronald Reagan, Fred Astaire, John Wayne, and Johnny Cash.

Great story
Revisado: 08-22-22
Great story and amazing narrator. Imagine someone at 90 that has so much to tell, searching through decades of life within changing world.
Now imagine someone who survived stroke, and still keeps (at 90) sharp mind.
This is human, who had a lot of luck.

Historia
Why is every film or tv programme a sequel or a remake? Why are people so f***ing hung up about swearing? Why do the asterisks in that sentence make it okay? Why do so many people want to stop other people doing things, and how can they be stopped from stopping them? These and many other questions trouble David Mitchell. Join him on a tour of the absurdities of modern life - from Ryanair to Richard III, Downton Abbey to phone etiquette, UKIP to hot dogs made of cats.

Great, great, great

Multi-universe humor, with clever insight into politic, life, TV... and so on. Delightfull story jumping from one topic to another. David would make great Prime Minister and definitely make a change, at least his salary :)

Revisado: 08-19-22
There are available great interpretations of poems included in other places. this audiobook is just read, we can not feel. This audiobook included my favourite poems, which I know by heart and performed in this book I questioned my affection. 1/10
