So many details about such a difficult time

A scene I know nothing about, drugs and prison. Or God. The way David tells his story about a very short period in his life. His resilience and overcoming his past makes me want to know him now. Everyone needs to read or listen to this book. I enjoyed it very much.

I loved that the older people in the book were not hot messes! The main character was honest and not annoying! Not that any of Meliss’s characters are annoying!
