although tammy’s narration was a little choppy at times this was a wonderful way to revisit this book. most of the va’s did a good job with capturing their characters and the story itself is a fun one with really enjoyable characters

ye gods this narrator!

this is a book i revisit from time to time as a comfort read from my younger days. it’s flawed but still enjoyable and i thought, “hey, i’ll audiobook this so i can multitask!” problem is this narrator makes me grind my teeth sometimes. pacing is wonky, the voices have very little differences and they’re super inconsistent, and to make it all the worse the pronunciation is Abysmal and not only with the made up words/names. my dude pronounced the s in bas relief. i knew better in the 4th grade and could narrate better then too! i can’t believe this is a professional narration on audible. i’ve heard better narrations on youtube. i will be passing on the rest of the trilogy because i find it almost impossible to really enjoy the story in the least with this narrator’s many faults.

a dream come true

i grew up listening to this at bedtime for years— literally until the cassettes began to give up the ghost. i’ve been on the lookout for this recording my whole adult life and here it is! i’m so happy to drift off to sleep to this once again. ultimate comfort
