I usually don't like the cheating group but what made me like it was the awareness of the female character achieved. With the limited options in the 1940's I can see how this would happen. If only the love that is happens in books would happen in real life.

I typically do not leave such poor reviews but I had to for this book. First, altought the narrator has a pleasant voice his ability to switch his voice between characters is non-existent which makes it very difficult to follow in the book. Second, I always appreciate a strong female character but Barb is a total b! @*h. She has the social skills of a 5 yo and is annoying as all get out. All she does is put down every person she comes in contact with. She has no redeeming qualities besides fighting. I wonder if the author secretly hates women.

First, the narrator did an amazing job. Although I found the MC wishy-washy at times the story kept me engaged. Many twist and turns that I did not see coming. Overall worth the credit

I have enjoyed listening to all of the audible books of this series. I wish they would produce more in this series but at least we can not get what we all want.

edge of your seat

I want to put out a shout out to the narrator. Kristine Hvam does such a good job that I actively seek out books that she narrates. The story it's self is exciting, adventurous, and bit your nails stuff. On to book 5. I only hope it remains just as good

Not to bad but man the ending just ruined it for me. How can someone be so inflexible when it comes to a relationship?Also why blame someone who does not make the judgement? Just a rain wreck.

I love this series

I love this series but I feel like all serial books that take long time in-between subsequence books interest fades.
The beginning was slow but in got more interesting as the book went along. I am not sure if this is the end of the series since there are more women in the Tasmanians. In the end I hope it continues but I'll put it in the self and wait a long time so several more show up so I can listen/read several at once. I enjoy all Daems books b/c of the strong female characters.

Don't know why I enjoyed it but I did

I would have to agree with the majority of the previous reviews that this does not have much action but I thoroughly enjoy this book. The best way I would describe it is the show Friends but in space. You wanted to know about the development of the main character Ishmael. I'll get the whole series esp since it is on sale.
I wish the narrator had more variety in his ability to distinguish between each character but his voice is pleasant enough that I did not mind.

Just to much

I have never had a book with to much cussing but this one takes the cake. I read one review about this but I was like no way can it be that bad. Yes, it was to much. I did not know a writer can put the F word it writing that much.
The characters are immature, stupid,and shallow. I usually avoid MC romances. This book confirms that I need to avoid it all together.

I have listened to many audiobooks but I can honestly say this is the best narration in any book I have listened to. The story is also compelling since I never thought I would like 2 serial killers. Definitely worth the credit.
