Historia
With one speech and thunderous applause, Chancellor Palpatine brought the era of the Republic crashing down. In its place rose the Galactic Empire. Across the galaxy, people rejoiced and celebrated the end of war—and the promises of tomorrow. But that tomorrow was a lie. Instead, the galaxy became twisted by the cruelty and fear of the Emperor’s rule.

This is a good filler for the new timeline. The story tells the actions of several key figures in the early days of the Empire. It sets up several tangents

The book was well done. Also lacked the recent Kennedy/Disney mandatory subversion so it was a pure story without a subliminal agenda.

I enjoyed the book and lessons. The author did a good job showing many examples of the zone from various sports and activities. I like how he created the chapters to build up to the lesson throughout.

Historia
Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the greatest footballers of all time, a dream he pursued from the age of just 12 when he left his humble origins on Madeira behind. It wasn't long before he had the biggest clubs in Europe knocking on his door, but it was Manchester United who won the race for his signature. Under the tutelage of Sir Alex Ferguson, Ronaldo developed into the complete footballer and athlete, winning three league titles and a Champions League along the way. He then became the biggest galáctico of them all when he transferred to Real Madrid for a record-breaking fee.

like most journalists bias is a watchword here
Revisado: 10-21-24
The journalist who wrote this did what his lot do and wrote a biased piece that was poorly written. Ronaldo in this book is a crying villian that makes everyone around him worse than they'd be otherwise so he gains fame. Would have liked more of what drove Ronaldo to being one of the best instead of a couch potato's demeaning explanation for why he's a bad person and footballer. More support for the old."man in the arena" story and people who don't compete criticizing those who do.

Historia
The Jedi are reeling from Qui-Gon Jinn’s sudden death at the hands of a Sith. Jedi Master Mace Windu’s feelings about Qui-Gon have always been complicated, and have not been made any simpler in death. While they often disagreed, Mace valued Qui-Gon’s unique perspective, and their shared dedication to the Force made them allies. Without Qui-Gon and his unorthodox views, Mace feels out of balance. While considering his fallen friend’s legacy, Mace is surprised to receive a final message from Qui-Gon.

Historia
In 1997, Jan Ullrich announced himself to the world by obliterating his rivals in the first mountain stage of the Tour de France. So awesome was his display that it sent shockwaves throughout the world of cycling and invited headlines such as L’Équipe’s ‘The New Giant’. He went on to become Germany’s first ever Tour winner, storming to victory in that edition by almost 10 minutes, a result that was greeted as an era-defining changing of the guard. Everyone agreed: Jan Ullrich was the future of cycling.

Historia
Most people believe that the best way to motivate is with rewards like money - the carrot-and-stick approach. That's a mistake, says Daniel H. Pink (author of To Sell Is Human: The Surprising Truth About Motivating Others). In this provocative and persuasive new book, he asserts that the secret to high performance and satisfaction - at work, at school, and at home - is the deeply human need to direct our own lives, to learn and create new things, and to do better by ourselves and our world.

Utopian Formula For Success, What could go wrong
Revisado: 09-05-24
Motivation 3.0 = let everyone manage themselves to fins their own purpose and who cares about profits. This works in California, or does it can't remember how many tent cities these type of utopian management plans have created.
The author believes all humans are inherently good and will do the right thing to trust them with your company success. He fails to understand that social media values are the world values system and are inherently negative - this is a conflict with his theories.
Seemed like he believes his theories fully. Good luck to anyone who follows them.

Historia
After decades of research, world-renowned Stanford University psychologist Carol S. Dweck discovered a simple but groundbreaking idea: the power of mindset. In this brilliant book, she describes how success in school, work, sports, the arts, and almost every area of human endeavor can be dramatically influenced by how we think about our talents and abilities. In this edition, Dweck offers new insights into her now famous and broadly embraced concept. She introduces a phenomenon she calls false growth mindset and guides people toward adopting a deeper, truer growth mindset.

I was seeking peak performance mindset. This is more a beginner level for status quo people seeking to start. I felt the Author had many biased that came through in the lessons. I started out hating the book and she convinced me more of her concept as she taught. Solid book for thr 90% of people looking for elementary level performance changes. If you're in the elite level this is not one for you.

Historia
To master anything, one must first master themselves–one’s emotions, one’s thoughts, one’s actions. Eisenhower famously said that freedom is really the opportunity to practice self-discipline. Cicero called the virtue of temperance the polish of life. Without boundaries and restraint, we risk not only failing to meet our full potential and jeopardizing what we have achieved, but we ensure misery and shame. In a world of temptation and excess, this ancient idea is more urgent than ever.
