Historia
The bride is a doll. The groom is the perfect gentleman. But the rest of the wedding party? They're the stuff of nightmares. Rich? Check. Vapid? Double check. Entitled? Not enough checks in the world. And the best man? More like the worst man. But maid of honor Franchesca takes her duties seriously. Kidnapped groom? She's got this. Rude attendees? You just watch her handle them. So a best man with a big attitude and an even bigger...checkbook? Yeah, there's no way she's going to let that pretentious, judgmental jackhole ruin her best friend's wedding. No matter how sexy he is.

Too much sex. Much too long
Revisado: 02-19-25
The middle of this book is way too long. Nothing really happens. The beginning has action and humor. The end has an overblown relationship issue. The middle was boring. Too much repeating sex stories. No character growth. Author could have cut out multiple chapter. Book introduces her family, then mostly ignore their existence. The same with her best friend. The act more as plot points than people. Readable. Audio voice was good but not the author's best work.

quick, good characters, so-so plot
Revisado: 07-27-22
Characters are well developed, plot is a bit unbelievable, but okay. Beginning has a lot sexual topics...may be triggering to some. A good book, good narration...but not a book I would read twice.

Decent narrator. Okay plot. Annoying main character. She's just a terrible cop, a hot head and she should have been fired.

Historia
Ten years ago, six friends went on vacation. One made it out alive... In that instant, college student Quincy Carpenter became a member of a very exclusive club - a group of survivors the press dubbed “The Final Girls”: Lisa, who lost nine sorority sisters to a college dropout's knife; Sam, who endured the Sack Man during her shift at the Nightlight Inn; and now Quincy, who ran bleeding through the woods to escape the massacre at Pine Cottage. Despite the media's attempts, the three girls have never met.

I didn't always like Quincy but I didn't need too. The final twists...I saw 2 of them coming but missed the third. It was different than I expected. A good book.

I love a hunt for a serial killer or killers. A really good book with good twists.
I wasn't as in love with the hang at the end but I could see a follow up book.
If you enjoy the hunt for the killer, this is the book for you.

Well written. Nice voice. I like Christian. However, I detest the ending. The whole Luke story line just ended on a whimper. I won't read the next even though the writing is solid.

A Good Book But Not A Great One
Revisado: 09-21-18
The descriptions are engaging. The story started off well. Decent tension. The plot is a little convoluted but not unlivable. Two sisters haven't spoken in 18 years. Sister one is a single mom with a teenager. Sister two is happily married without kids. The husband is killed. When he dies, the wife finds a terrible lie on his computer. She reconnects with her sister and they try to untangle the truth about her husband. The plot is a little too twisted. It's a good book but you have to suspend disbelief ever so slightly.
It's a good book but, as I've said, not a great one. The speaker is decent as well.
