While I did not know anything about the author or book i truly enjoyed it. I found I was always in a hurry to get back to it and was reluctant to end the story. Well done!

It kept me in gauged and wanting more. I was a bit disappointed the story was ended where it was. It made it a bit incomplete. Like a number of authors when the bad guys were dealt with, the story was practically over. Little regard is given to close the story.

I truly enjoyed both books. They flow into one another perfectly. The characters are well developed and it seemed to me the narrator enjoyed the books. I have always enjoyed the era and these were not disappointing.

Captivating is the only word I can think of!

The story reaches out and grabs your attention from the start. The narrator makes it come alive. You want to encourage Alex on this quest to return home. The story is a lot of things but boring is not one of them. I am looking forward to the next book!

Great book! Great Narration! The book holds your attention. It is a tad predictable but not enough to distract your attention or become boring. It takes a number of twists and turns. It is a book you can relax with but not boring. I really enjoyed it!

This book has the power to change you life if you will let it. Mel Robbins is a straight talker. She is absolutely direct & does not pull any punches. Her books not only invigorate me, they challenge me to look closely at things in my life and to take action on what I am not satisfied with. I am the one in charge of my life, no one else! It is time to own it.

What a surprise!

After reading a previous review I thought ok there is a surprise in the tale. The “surprise” was a total surprise! It was not the one I was expecting and I won’t spoil anyone else’s enjoyment of the story. It was great to actually be surprised.

Gripping!

Once started I had a hard time stopping! The story line is so relatable and just pulls you in. Finding good stopping places was very difficult because I wanted to know what happened next. If I could I would have listened nonstop!

I am not sure where I thought the story might go when the book first started. But I continued to listen and was drawn into the story - I had to know where the people were going. Not physically but within the story. I had to know! The ending caught me totally off guard.
