Historia
Lucy Hutton has always been certain that the nice girl can get the corner office. She's charming and accommodating and prides herself on being loved by everyone at Bexley & Gamin. Everyone except for coldly efficient, impeccably attired, physically intimidating Joshua Templeman. And the feeling is mutual. Trapped in a shared office together 40 (ok, 50 or 60) hours a week, they've become entrenched in an addictive, ridiculous never-ending game of one-upmanship.

Who is giving this 5 stars? NO way.
Revisado: 02-04-22
So the writer is a good writer, and the leading male character is awesome in the book. But Lucy is NOT lovable. She comes off as an immature 12 year old, who has discovered puberty. Further, she addresses him as a pure sexual objection all the time. It’s beyond annoying. Her whining about being “tiny,” 5 foot tall, the average American is 5 foot 4 inches, she is basically average. He deserves better. Who is giving this 5 stars? Maybe a 15 year old reading/listening to the book.

It was lovely. It was slightly different then his previous work, but still within his writing style. More mature. I enjoyed it a lot.

Good, but….
Revisado: 07-19-21
This is not a bad book. But this IS a terrible book for a trilogy. Since this is the 3rd book, this is the “ending,” and there are to many unanswered questions to conclude this as a trilogy.
If this was a serious, and there would be a 4th book answering all the unknowns, I would give this book a 4. But this is a poor ending to a trilogy.
The narrator was great however.

Historia
Teenage girls are taking courses of testosterone and disfiguring their bodies. Parents are undermined; experts are over-relied upon; dissenters in science and medicine are intimidated; free speech truckles under renewed attack; socialized medicine bears hidden consequences; and an intersectional era has arisen in which the desire to escape a dominant identity encourages individuals to take cover in victim groups. Every person who has ever had a skeptical thought about the sudden rush toward a non-binary future but been afraid to express it - this book is for you.

Great book
Revisado: 05-05-21
This is my first time writing a review, and I’m writing it due to certain groups trying to get this book banded. This is a GREAT and NEEDED book. We can’t cancel shows/books just because they don’t align with our world word. I am a LGBTQIA+ supporter, but this book discusses things their community refuses to
Acknowledge. We need ALL sides of the story, not just one. This is a great book.

unrelatable AF

A self absorbed, entitled white woman. She thinks she “earned” her privilege by marrying a well-off man. I cannot relate—I do NOT want to be able to relate to a self-absorbed from entitled, plagiarist , who lacks empathy.

Historia
When his mother became President, Alex Claremont-Diaz was promptly cast as the American equivalent of a young royal. Handsome, charismatic, genius—his image is pure millennial-marketing gold for the White House. There's only one problem: Alex has a beef with the actual prince, Henry, across the pond. And when the tabloids get hold of a photo involving an Alex-Henry altercation, U.S./British relations take a turn for the worse.

A waste of a credit
Revisado: 05-27-20
Over hipped. I was excited to start reading it. I love YA, and YA regarding minorities. But this was like reading fan fiction written by High School student; "dick in my mouth," "you hard penis," "boner against my leg," "blow job," are just a few of the phases often used. I had to take a break from this book numerous times. I'm not prude, I just didn't know that I signed up for a poorly written porno.
The narrator however, was great. The write, has no writing talent.

Historia
In White Trash, Nancy Isenberg upends assumptions about America's supposedly class-free society. Poor whites were central to the rise of the Republican Party in the early 19th century, and the Civil War itself was fought over class issues nearly as much as it was fought over slavery. Reconstruction pitted poor white trash against newly freed slaves, which factored in the rise of eugenics. These poor were at the heart of New Deal reforms and LBJ's Great Society; they haunt us in reality TV shows like Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and Duck Dynasty.

The narrator is terrible
Revisado: 05-09-18
I have tried to listen to this multiple times. The book is interesting, it’s the narrativer that is terrible. She is awful. I will have to buy a hard copy to finish this book. The narrator sounds like a robot. Siri has more affect then the narrator Kristen Potter.

Revisado: 02-13-18
I looooved, LOVED, “The universe has your back,” the story and performance. I had high expectation for this one. I finished that audio in a book. It’s what got me to subscribe to audible.
I’ve had THIS book for a month....and I haven’t even gone through 50% of it. I have a 2 hour commute a day. The performance and narrative is beyond boring. I won’t be able to finish it.

Historia
In her phenomenally popular essays and long-running Tumblr blog, Roxane Gay has written with intimacy and sensitivity about food and body, using her own emotional and psychological struggles as a means of exploring our shared anxieties over pleasure, consumption, appearance, and health. As a woman who describes her own body as "wildly undisciplined", Roxane understands the tension between desire and denial, between self-comfort and self-care.

This book is amazing, and powerfully narrated by Roxanne Gay herself. She is one amazing woman, and was vulnerable and raw in writing this, and narrating this.
