Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Fairy Tale Origins, I really enjoyed this.
Revisado: 10-24-22
I have always been a fan of Mr. King, this story is a deviation from his norm but yet isn't. He can instill fear with any character he chooses. Fairy Tales were originally dark and he brings us back to that. The narration was incredible, and I sometimes forgot it was just one person reading.

I have always been a fan of Sandra's work as an actress, this episode made even more of a fan of her as a person, if that was possible. She is such an honest, open, funny, likeable woman. True star.

Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. Revisado: 01-20-22
Andy Weir has done it again, Another book with very likeable intelligent characters. Science-ing the s%#t out of everything. Ray Porter was awesome as ever with his performance, bringing these two friends to life. I totally enjoyed going on this journey. Happy, Happy. Would love to see them together again. Maybe, question?

Historia
Billy Todd has always been different. Most people called him odd, and those were the nice people. Though he was born with a learning disability, Billy's parents never allowed him to consider himself disabled. Raised to be self-sufficient, Billy might not be as smart as some, but he was a lot smarter than people realized.

Alexander Grant is a little too good at a few too many things. Two dozen martial arts. Twice that many languages. Chess, the piano, sports, forging excused absences, you name it. He graduated high school top of his class 17 times. Of course, no one knows any of this. Not that he wants to go unnoticed. It’s just safer that way.

Revisado: 09-13-19
This was my first book from this author. I decided on it because Will Wheaton is the narrator. Also, the premise sounded interesting and thought I would give it a go. I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next one in the series. The combination of an interesting story and talented narrator is a win win !!!

couldn't finish this.
Revisado: 09-05-19
the story had promise but I just can't get past the narrator's voice and lack of inflections. Her sentences rise at the end instead of dropping, very distracting. If I had to hear her pronounce horsaas one more time I was going to to crack. Can't believe she narrates anything else after hearing this hot mess. too bad. I will never listen to anything else read by her. There are too many great narrator's reading other books. I usually read the reviews first, I must have missed these .

Great start for this series.
Revisado: 06-17-19
I have just started to get into this type of Fantasy genre and I really enjoyed this book. Good character development and interesting story lines . The narrators were very good aside from a few pronunciation issues. Got involved in the story quickly and it kept my interest. Kind of disappointed the next book isn't ready yet. I would like to be able to stay in Sage's world instead of going to a different one.

Revisado: 01-30-19
I really loved the way the author twisted very familiar stories . So creative and enjoyable. Makes you think about where the story is taking you and who the next victim will be. Liked discovering the characters true identities.
I enjoyed the narrators and the obvious fun they had reading this.
Hoping for another installment.....soon .
I really recommend this. Such fun,!!!

Historia
In 2003, software engineer David Miller left his job, family, and friends to hike 2,172 miles of the Appalachian Trail. AWOL on the Appalachian Trail is Miller’s account of this thru-hike from Georgia to Maine. Listeners are treated to rich descriptions of the Appalachian Mountains, the isolation and reverie, the inspiration that fueled his quest, and the rewards of taking a less conventional path through life. While this book abounds with introspection and perseverance, it also provides useful passages about hiking gear and planning.

Thru hiking is something I have always wanted to do, but haven't. I have only done day hikes on several sections, and could picture them through his descriptions. Loved listening to his experiences on each leg of his journey. I envy those brave enough and bold enough to complete this hike.
