Woody Bookman hasn’t spoken a word in his eleven years of life. Not when his father died in a freak accident. Not when his mother, Megan, tells him she loves him. For Megan, keeping her boy safe and happy is what matters. But Woody believes a monstrous evil was behind his father’s death and now threatens him and his mother. And he’s not alone in his thoughts. An ally unknown to him is listening.

Great book
Revisado: 04-14-20
I have enjoyed all of Koontz's books but particularly loved this one. It came from a different angle and I had a hard time setting it aside. Thanks Dean!

Historia
Stone Barrington embarks on his most dangerous adventure yet when he takes on a job as a lawyer for a sleazy and clueless con man and ends up getting embroiled in the underworld of the New York mafia. It started out as just another late night at Elaine's, where Stone was eating a porterhouse steak and enjoying the company of his friends. But when Herbie Fisher, a notoriously not-so-sharp swindler, walked in, the pleasant atmosphere turned to ice.

Repeated narration
Revisado: 12-19-17
What made the experience of listening to Fresh Disasters the most enjoyable?
The most irritating thing was that every so often the narration would go back fifteen to thirty minutes ad repeat.
What did you like best about this story?
The constant surprises.
Which character – as performed by Tony Roberts – was your favorite?
Dino

Very poor narration
Revisado: 06-24-17
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. It is a great story and moves along quickly.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Silent Corner?
When she goes to the house and meets the girl who has had her brain altered.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Elisabeth Rodgers?
Almost anyone. The narration modulated from hardly being able to hear her to her almost yelling. When wearing headphones it is a very distracting quality.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Is this the way the elite see the future?
Any additional comments?
Dean Koontz had created very memorable characters, but develops a scary story that makes one wonder if this could happen.

Very poor narration
Revisado: 03-24-16
Is there anything you would change about this book?
I would have someone else do the narration. She was stiff and more than a few times I thought about reading the book instead of listening to the audio book.
The story was very interesting.
What did you like best about this story?
It was definitely an interesting vampire story.
What didn’t you like about Kathy Vogel’s performance?
She was stiff and halting. She would break at places that should have flowed.
Could you see Moon Bayou being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
I think it has the possibility of being a tv series. Can't think of anyone in particular for the stars.

Historia
Amos Decker's life changed forever - twice. The first time was on the gridiron. A big, towering athlete, he was the only person from his hometown of Burlington ever to go pro. But his career ended before it had a chance to begin. On his very first play, a violent helmet-to-helmet collision knocked him off the field for good and left him with an improbable side effect - he can never forget anything.

Absolutely fantastic
Revisado: 10-04-15
Would you consider the audio edition of Memory Man to be better than the print version?
I didn't read the print version
What did you like best about this story?
The way the story was developed. The agony that the main characters went through was expressed so thoroughly.
Which character – as performed by Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy – was your favorite?
Of course Amos Decker.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me feel extremely sorry for both the hero and the villain.
Any additional comments?
I hope others take the time to listen to this book. It's a story that is so different from many other mysteries. Amos Decker is a fantastic character and I can't wait for the next book about him.

Sanford does it again
Revisado: 03-25-14
Where does Dead Watch rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
John Sanford is one of the authors who I always want to read as soon as he releases a new story for us. Even though I didn't enjoy this one as much as a Lucas Davenport or Virgil Flowers, DEAD WATCH was definitely a book I would recommend to other readers and would possibly read (or I should say listen to again).
Who was your favorite character and why?
Madison. I wasn't completely sure how far she was involved in her husband's death and found it intriguing to watch her character develop.
What about Eric Conger’s performance did you like?
Eric Confer's performance was very good, but I do wish there was a little more inflection between characters during conservations.
