Will definitely read book 2
Revisado: 04-08-25
This book surprised me in all the right ways. The worldbuilding is rich, the writing is confident, and the characters feel fully realized. What stood out most to me was the contrast between two central male characters—one embodies quiet strength, loyalty, and depth, while the other leans more into selfishness and recklessness. I found myself drawn to the former and increasingly frustrated with the latter, which made for a dynamic reading experience. Despite my growing dislike for one of them, I was fully invested from start to finish and can’t wait to see where the next installment goes.

I got invested
Revisado: 02-27-25
I enjoyed this work. The author crafted well-developed characters with distinct personalities and motivations. The plot featured high stakes that built progressively throughout the story, effectively drawing me in and keeping me invested until the conclusion. The tension created through these escalating stakes made the resolution particularly satisfying.

Now, a war is brewing between ancient enemies from the dawn of time. If it can’t be stopped, the veil will be lifted and all of humanity’s darkest nightmares will be unleashed to wreak havoc. That's where I come in.

Supernatural meets Walking Dead
Revisado: 09-24-24
Fantastic story. Character development is gritty and realistic. All to often authors of Sci Fi and Fantasy move characters through paradigm shifting changes in reality in a smooth seamless and utterly unbelievable fashion. Not so here. Character reaction to the new world they find themselves in is faltering, flawed and ultimately exactly what would happen. The result is a suite of characters that are relatable and believable. I don't like all of them, but I connect with them.
The plot is complex and as of yet, not fully revealed. I think I know where it's going but I guess we will see...
The narrator does a phenomenonal job. His tone and pace is perfect. He truly brings the characters to life.
Can't wait for the next installment.
