Historia
When Gemma’s romantic holiday with her boyfriend is cancelled, the tearoom sleuth finds herself heading to Vienna instead with her cat Muesli and the nosy Old Biddies for company. And it’s not long before they stumble across a murder right in the heart of Austria’s historic capital. A handsome art critic dies suspiciously at their hotel, and the Old Biddies are determined to sniff out the killer. Is it the bitter hotel owner nursing a grudge? The critic’s jealous mistress wanting revenge? Or even the American horse trainer who seems inexplicably nervous around the police?

Very Enjoyable
Revisado: 10-28-18
I love the Oxford Tearoom Mysteries. This book goes all the way to Austria for a change of scenery. I'm glad Gemma brought Muesli along as I always look forward to reading about her The "old biddies" are a marvel and I'm glad they went along to support Gemma. H. Y. Hanna writes a good cozy mystery. She has lovely characters and good settings. And her mysteries are always, should I say, 'fun'. It was nice to see Gemma elsewhere. Pearl Hewitt is a wonderful narrator. I enjoy her voice and the way she reads.

Another Fun Mystery
Revisado: 08-08-18
Gemma's day ends in murder and the old biddies are very interested in helping to solve it and are getting in the way. Even sweet little Muesli is getting into trouble. What is going on here!! Everyone is giving Gemma problems. And is this the end for Gemma and her boyfriend? Why is he avoiding her? I just love all the characters in these stories. They are lively and full of mystery and fun. You just know that if you visit the Tearoom and surrounding town, you are going to love talking to them all. And Pearl Hunter, the narrator, just makes these characters and stories come alive with her reading. She makes it sound so charming.

Murder Done Right
Revisado: 04-12-18
Gemma's sweet cat, Muesli, is entered in the local fair's cat show. Of course, there is murder involved, and of course, the Old Biddies have their opinion. This series is so much fun and it is involving with lovely settings and fantastic characters. HY Hanna writes such lovely stories and I look forward to each and every one. I know that I've said this before, but Pearl Hewitt brings a voice to these stories that is perfect and really makes the stories come alive.

Love these stories
Revisado: 04-11-18
The prequel adds so many tidbits that you may have wondered about, and gives so much more background and added fun. Book 1: What a fun story. This is the first of a fun series. Gemma leaves a job she hates in Australia, moves back to her home town, and takes a chance on pursuing her dream and opens a tea room in England. I've been to the Cotswolds area and fell in love with it. This book brought back some wonderful memories and I could picture the places I'd been to again. And of course, there's the lovely little Muesli, an employee's cat. Good mystery, murder, a love interest and a cat. What more could you want? The writing is wonderfully clear and well-written and enhances the well-thought out story. Pearl Hewitt is absolutely the perfect person to narrate. She does a marvelous job. Book 2: I really look forward to these stories. They are just wonderful with delightful characters and a fun mystery. Gemma is more established in her tea room, and her mother is "helping". The Old Biddies are back and just as wild and enjoyable. This is a really lovely series. The setting is great and the mystery is done very well. I may also be a bit impartial but I just love Muesli!! I also love listening to Pearl Hewitt. I think she is just perfect for this series as the narrator. I love listening to her!

A Really Fun Mystery
Revisado: 09-07-17
Another wonderful mystery by HY Hanna. The characters are so human that you feel you know them. First, there's Muesli, that intelligent little cat. Gemma, who owns the tearoom and is a good mystery investigator. Gemma's mother, who just loves to aggravate Gemma (and don't we all know someone like this?). And I can't say enough about the old biddies. They just tickle me. There are twists and turns for this mystery that kept me guessing. I just love this series. I think it's really fun. And Pearl Hewitt, the narrator, is just perfect.

Revisado: 06-27-17
I love time travel stories and I loved this story, too. Who can't love a wonderful knight and a fun romance! I thought this story well-written with a great variety of characters. It also was a bit humorous which I enjoyed. The setting was well-done as I could imagine what was going on and how tough times were then. I found the whole story entertaining. I am looking forward to reading more of Cynthia Luhrs' books.

A Lovely Christmas Story
Revisado: 06-02-17
This is a very heart-warming romance. It involves a homeless veteran with PTSD and a single mother and her daughter. The problems they work through had me crying, and the rest of the story either had me laughing, sighing, or just feeling good. This is a truly lovely story that is well-written with characters that are very realistic by an author that easily helps you visualize through her wonderful writing. Elizabeth Klett is a fine narrator who makes it a nice listening experience. I recommend you listen to this story.

Historia
Florist Terri Martin lives a calm and peaceful life. Maybe too calm and too peaceful because she can't remember the last time she was in a relationship. Terri calls Bad Boys for Hire to book herself a date for her thirtieth birthday party, but before she can hire one, she meets Ryker Slade, a biker hiding from his motorcycle club. Old vendettas resurface and soon, Terri has more than she can handle when she learns that her and Ryker's love is as doomed as Romeo and Juliet's.

Revisado: 04-21-17
All Terri wants is a date for her 30th birthday party, but before she can hire someone, she meets Ryker. I could not put this story away. So much action and romance it's like a buffet and you can't wait for the dessert! There are enough twists to keep you wondering and on the edge of your seat. Rachelle Ayala does not disappoint. I love her writing and her characters are strong whether they are men or women. The narrator, Chris Abell, does a fine job of narrating. I enjoyed listening to him.
