Great Story. Wonderful Characters

I wasn't certain about getting this audible books and still wasn't when I started listening, but the next thing I knew I was nearly half way through and really enjoying it. Great writing and an excellent performance. Jay Myers is an awesome reader. He has an nice voice to listen to and is able to pull off the different voices and accents with ease. Highly recommended. I'm looking forward to The Russian.

Great Set Of Books

I don’t usually take the time to write a review, but this series has been one of the best I’ve listened/read in a long while. Dalzelle is an excellent writer who appears to know the science behind the fiction. He writes like he was an old spacer himself. He’s found that hidden middle ground where he has enough technical jargon to be interesting and authentic, but not so much that it comes off as a boring lecture.

Mark Boyett is a terrific actor and has made the books convincingly come to life. I would love to see this on the big screen or better yet a streaming series. Provided they follow the books. If you like science fiction and god space battles, you’ll love Black Fleet

Yet Another Great Book By Greaney

I agree with some of the other reviewers. This is the best book yet. I couldn’t put his one down and as a result I’m up at nearly 3 in the morning. Can’t wait for the next.

Great Series of Books

The first book of the series grabbed my attention and didn’t let go. I eagerly binged on the next two. I love finding trilogies already written. Of the three this book wasn’t as great (but still good) as the first two, blue22 it answered all the questions the first two asked and left me wanting more. Well done Mr. Inmon.

Also liked the author’s notes read by the author.

Another Great Book

Another excellent book in this series. If you like fantasy and the hero’s journey written in compelling prose, then the Benjamin Ashwood series is a must. I decided to listen to this while waiting for the last “King’s Ranger” book to come out and I’m not disappointed. By the way, if for some reason you’re not a fan of Ranger, I’d still recommend checking into Ashwood. It’s completely different.

Good up until the end

I enjoyed this story almost all the way through. It’s one of the few books I’ve read or listened to recently that kept me wanting read on. Now that the tale is finished I am left feeling like I’ve been punked. I don’t want to spoil it so I won’t get into the details, but I invested so much time and energy with these characters only to have a very meh ending. No, not meh, but a wtf ending.

Now, on the other hand if Vicarious is book 1 of a new series then, ok we’ll see. I’m not sure that’s the case though.

Good listen, but should have been 5 stars

R. C. Bray's performance & Alanson's writing were both great. I don't want to spoil anything, but I didn't like the ending. Obviously there's more to come, and that is great. However, after putting that much time into this book, to have it end on lackluster scene is depressing.

Just Seemed Like I've Read This Before

I haven't read a real lot of Baldacci, but I've read enough to know that his books are better than this. A number of reviewer's complained about the performance, which wasn't the best. However, the story is what was lackluster for me. I don't want to spoil it for anyone wishing to read the book, but the plot seems more like a John Grisham book, then a Baldacci book. And not in a good way. Unfortunately, most of the book is a good mystery that seems original, that is until you get two thirds of the way through. It's at that point that, if you're like me, you'll think crap I just wasted my time for this. So, for anyone like me I'm telling you now don't waste your time. ;)
