Historia
Where do we find the tools we need to heal - and then go further - to create a life of uncommon and authentic happiness? The answer, teaches Mark Epstein, may lie in the insights of one of the world's greatest psychologists - the Buddha. What the Buddha Felt uncovers a quiet revolution occurring in the West today: the merging of modern psychotherapy and ancient Buddhist meditation techniques to help us face even the most challenging emotional obstacles.

Historia
How can we make intelligent decisions about our increasingly technology-driven lives if we don’t understand the difference between the myths of pseudoscience and the testable hypotheses of science? Pulitzer Prize-winning author and distinguished astronomer Carl Sagan argues that scientific thinking is critical not only to the pursuit of truth but to the very well-being of our democratic institutions.

There is so much in this text to unwrap and truly consider. As to my role in this world and country, it has never been clearer.

Historia
Suburbia. Shady, tree-lined streets; well-tended lawns; and cozy homes. A nice, quiet place to grow up. Unless you are teenage Meg or her crippled sister, Susan. On a dead-end street, in the dark, damp basement of the Chandler house, Meg and Susan are left captive to the savage whims and rages of a distant aunt who is rapidly descending into madness. It is a madness that infects all three of her sons and finally the entire neighborhood. Only one troubled boy stands hesitantly between Meg and Susan and their cruel, torturous deaths.

Don't Watch
Revisado: 06-04-16
A gruesome coming of age novel though well narrated. Just when you can't imagine one human being doing something like this you are reminded how easily even children can be so evil.
