Historia
Sam and Clementine have a wonderful, albeit, busy life: they have two little girls, Sam has just started a new dream job, and Clementine, a cellist, is busy preparing for the audition of a lifetime. If there’s anything they can count on, it’s each other. Clementine and Erika are each other’s oldest friends. A single look between them can convey an entire conversation. But theirs is a complicated relationship, so when Erika mentions a last minute invitation to a barbecue with her neighbors, Tiffany and Vid, Clementine and Sam don’t hesitate.

Historia
Love Life serves up another delicious selection of intimate stories and observations from Rob Lowe's life, told with humor, warmth, and brutal honesty. After writing his acclaimed debut effort, Lowe felt he had more stories to share and many more friends to introduce. The result is a touching memoir about the business and craft of acting, the pitfalls of success, family, love, and much more.

Better than the last....
Revisado: 08-27-14
What made the experience of listening to Love Life the most enjoyable?
Rob Lowe truly let us into his private life. When he talked about his oldest son going to college, I felt like it was my daughter. He is an artist but also very human.
What other book might you compare Love Life to and why?
Nothing that I have read compares to Love Life.
Have you listened to any of Rob Lowe’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I more than enjoyed Rob Lowe's first book. His voice is very easy to listen to. Both had me laughing hysterically and crying like a baby. This is someone we can all relate to.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Love Life, between the sheets and into the night!
Any additional comments?
Again Rob Lowe has welcomed us into his private life. I loved every minute of this book. His voice is so dynamic. I cried when he cried, I laughed when he laughed. Most of all I fell in love again.

New appreciation for actors!
Revisado: 02-25-13
Where does Stories I Only Tell My Friends rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
One of the best listens I've had the pleasure of listening too.
What does Rob Lowe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Rob Lowe has a dynamic personality that shines through his voice. I felt like we were sitting at my living room table having coffee and talking about life.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Hearing him describe the birth of his son brought tears to my eyes and a new admiration for Rob Lowe the man not just the actor.
Any additional comments?
Great listen. A must for anyone who grew up in the 80's watching movies like About Last Night and The Outsiders. Like walking down memory lane with some interesting twists and tidbits of information. Rob Lowe does a super job telling you about his life experiences but keeping his friends lives private. .

Historia
Bernadette Fox is notorious. To her Microsoft-guru husband, she's a fearlessly opinionated partner; to fellow private-school mothers in Seattle, she's a disgrace; to design mavens, she's a revolutionary architect, and to 15-year-old Bee, she is a best friend and, simply, Mom.
Then Bernadette disappears. It began when Bee aced her report card and claimed her promised reward: a family trip to Antarctica. But Bernadette's intensifying allergy to Seattle - and people in general - has made her so agoraphobic that a virtual assistant in India now runs her most basic errands.

Book about nothing at all but about something real
Revisado: 01-12-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes! It's an easy listen. The reader does a fabulous job with voices and you cleary know who is talking through out the book. It's almost like listening to a stand-up comedy routine!
Who was your favorite character and why?
Elgen, because he loved Bernadette so much he would have done anything for her.
Which scene was your favorite?
The mudslide! ha!!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Two parts actually 1. When Elgen told B to go and 2. When Bernadette opened the velvet bag when B found her.
Any additional comments?
Loved this book!! A great listen! Awesome story about nothing at all but about something real.

terrible

not worth your time. I couldn't even get though the first part. The story jumps from one to the other and it is really hard to follow. The narrator has a difficult voice (I'm sure she does justice to other stories) but this one just wasn't a good fit for her.
