Beyond Sci-Fi includes a collection of short stories and novella. The Ark of Arrogance" is the story of refugees living on an ark as means of survival due to a massive flood on Long Island. Escaping on the ark doesn't provide safety, but instead brings catastrophic results, including mayhem, martial law, looting, and murder. Other stories in the collection include jealous tennis rivals and a group of bloggers who all die mysteriously. The characters in each story are unusual, their circumstances unique.

Everytime Arthur wrote a book and it was in Galley's he wrote a short story and threw it in a box. I found them in the attic and Arthur put together Body Parts, Beyond Sci Fi and The Edge of Reality

Arthur spent all winters in the Carrebean, and made fun of Astrology. I take it seriously, as I had my chart done six months before I met Arthur, and it predicted the exact date I would meet him, May 22, 1981, alas he died 5/26/2000 These books keep him alive for ME. Also he moved after he died apparently the body's electrical system goes last.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Neither, it made me afraid of cancer, as as the poles swap, the magnetic field around the earth gets thinner, letting in more of the sun's radiation, which increases skin cancer.

Why was he in denial? What was it that he couldn't face? Something terrible had happened. He felt terrible. It's nothing, he reassured himself. Everything's okay. Still, he felt discombobulated, as if his story didn't hang together, as if he failed to grasp a central theme, whatever that was. Something that made sense, seemed reasonable. But, who were the DOAs? And where was he? Police Detective Mike Boyle is called to the scene of an apparent double-homicide.
