I've listened to each book in this series. All are favorites. But this one should be read, not listened to. The enormous number of Twitter conversations, which include names of writers, dates and times, became tedious and annoying in the early chapters. It never got better. If I'd read the book, I could have flashed through all that and still picked up the important bits. It's a good, complex mystery and leaves us wondering if Cormoran and Robin will ever move beyond a business relationship.

Historia
Ever since she was 10 years old, Rosalie Wright's eyes have been on the skies. But at the age of 18, on the verge of earning her pilot's license, the English farmer's daughter watches her dreams of becoming an aviatrix fly away without her. Britain's entry into World War II brings civilian aviation to a standstill. Then, Rosalie's father dies, leaving her, her mother, and her brothers to run the farm. Everything changes when she learns that the Air Transport Authority is recruiting women pilots to ferry warplanes across Britain to RAF bases.

Historia
In 1989 Ken Follett astonished the literary world with The Pillars of the Earth, set in 12th-century England. Readers and listeners ever since have hoped for a sequel. At last, here it is. Although the two novels may be listened to in any order, World Without End also takes place in Kingsbridge, two centuries after the townspeople finished building their exquisite Gothic cathedral. The cathedral is again at the center of a web of love and hate, greed and pride, ambition and revenge.

Over the years I've listened to this story many times. John Lee is an excellent narrator too.
