Must listen

I love all James Patterson books, but having this in Audio Drama format made it so fun to listen to! Storyline kept me engaged, and I started it in the morning and finished it this afternoon. So good!

Historia
Christopher Yuan, the son of Chinese immigrants, discovered at an early age that he was different. He was attracted to other boys. As he grew into adulthood, his mother, Angela, hoped to control the situation. Instead she found that her son and her life were spiraling out of control - and her own personal demons were determined to defeat her. Years of heartbreak, confusion, and prayer followed before the Yuans found a place of complete surrender, which is God's desire for all families.

Redemptive story of Jesus' love for ALL of us
Revisado: 08-05-21
Great listen. Loved the honest vulnerability both mom and son shared in this story, and the depth of detail really increased the impact of the message of God's redemption, love and grace. Excited for Christopher to speak at our church here in a few weeks!

Great read!
Revisado: 01-05-21
I loved how real and raw Lauren wrote. I felt like I could be one of her closest friends after reading the book, like I actually knew her. There were moments throughout the book that I cried along with her because it was so well described and retold. There were some times that brought up tears of my own as the things she wrote about reminded me of certain times in my own life. My daughter and I have loved Thomas Rhett's music; this book was a great peek into the woman beside, and the life behind, him and his music.

First celebrated for her voice, she became one of the most talked-about women in the world, whether for music and fashion, her relationship struggles, or as a walking blonde joke. But now, instead of being talked about, Jessica is doing the talking. Her audiobook shares the wisdom and inspirations she’s learned and shows the real woman behind all the pop-culture clichés. Open Book is an opportunity to laugh and cry with a close friend, one that will inspire you to live your best, most authentic life, now that she is finally living hers.

Get to know the real-life Jessica Simpson
Revisado: 03-10-20
Loved it. It broke down faulty assumptions I'd had of her and her life since I was in my late teens/early twenties, and showed an open, honest and very vulnerable testament to what her life has really been like. She's human, and I love that about her. May I take note and remember to not find myself being judgy and hurtful towards others in my life over stupid/superficial things, that can actually really cause them some heart damage. 💕
