Maizey figures out her place with the pack. She and Denver work out their relationships with each other and with the others now that she is no longer a child.
No spoilers here. But definitely read this series in order.
But the writer gives us the “talk of war” and hints of future storylines to come.
I really enjoyed this book. Maizey’s story with Prince snd Denver was not predictable but a delightful HEA for now.

Dark and angsty, another page turner!

Intense and chilling story continues in the second book in this series. I found Kristen, Logan , and Jakes story interesting and twisted. Definitely for a mature, 18 and over, reader. This story winds through with incredible detail and character development. Generally, I gravitate to a more light-hearted story with HEA, but this one grabbed me in the first book and didn’t let go.
I suggest reading A War of Hearts first, to get the full story. Enjoy the ride!

Seth’s story-ahh-maxingly beautiful

Enjoyed the build-up of Seth’s story. Loved the rallying of second’s and immortals around the world for Gershon’s attack.
I loved the narration as usual with all of the books. Just liked Leah’s character-voice less (affect) and her personality seemed less like able to me, for Seth. I expected someone to garner more empathy from me,again, for Seth.

Quick and dirty and delicious little story that packs a punch! It’s great to listen to a story about a successfully blissful couple with room to explore and share. Lauren Blakely doesn’t disappoint with this short, steamy, raw couple. Loved it!

Love the movie references! So fun!

Tom (Kyler) and Finley have wonderful dialogue and steamy chemistry, once they realize they are matching goof-balls. I loved how sweet these two are together. It’s a quick read/listen that left me smiling at all of the movie references that I know without thinking hard about it! Their last roller coaster ride ended so beautifully.
Narration by Joe Arden and Andi Arndt was perfect for each character. They are gold!

Graphic, raw, suspense, not for the mild folks!

This “la femme Nikita” style story reads (listens) like a mob hit man trope. A very interesting twist with the Baz’ vulnerabilities.
I eagerly listened to this story in two sessions.
The graphic nature might turn some away, but I found it necessary to balance the GFK’s background as well as the twist at the conclusion. M Never doesn’t disappoint!

Wanted to like it, and tried, but not so much

Initially I thought this would be a fun story and I wanted to like it. To be fair, I typically don’t enjoy rock/pop star stories and this didn’t change that.
Zander’s story with Aloha didn’t convince me it was a genuine relationship. As a person with strong ethnicity, I found their pairing stereotypical - superstar-struck out of the tabloids.
The nicknames went above and beyond comfortable to read/ listen to. Seriously, LA or not, high or not, who talks that way?
This earned 2-3 stars from me simply because I stopped listening 3 times yet I came back three times to gut it out. I’ll never get those 8-9 hours back in my life. Sorry, not sorry.

Taboo, angsty, smutty, bdsm love story

Read/listen to this book if you love the narrators because they do a fantastic job. Jacob Morgan and Elena Wolfe perform the characters to perfection.
Let me preface my review as a born, lifelong practicing catholic with a brother who is a priest. So, that being said... it’s fiction!
Do not read this book if you can’t separate fiction from factual catholic doctrine. It’s fiction! It’s taboo and sacrilegious and lusty. I didn’t get the hint of genuine love until the last chapter.
I found Poppy’s character development unbelievable. Debutante scholar sex kitten stripper. Tyler should have never entered priesthood with his background, doomed to fail. Entered for many wrong reasons.
As a tale of overcoming obstacles, this love story should be a lust story.
Again, did I mention fiction?

“Just Sex”... story could be stronger, just me

This is a steamy sex story, maybe 101 ways to sex up your captive. Yes, it was consensual in the bdsm sort of way. Two privileged guys mutually share a naive new New Yorker, while they don’t touch each other, they “sex-drug” her up to do anything with them, over and over. She consents to be objectified over and over. True, their feelings developed with a story line eventually and by the time a few tragedies have solidified their feelings, they get their HEA.
Characters were fantastical, rich, trust fund boys, charitable, god-like looks, I would have liked to know more about their unusual bond and lifestyle choice to share one girl. A girl who is really nothing special except that she is willing to be kept and treated like a pet, at first. Then lavished with gifts and clothes and sex when she learns her place.
I would prefer a stronger differentiation between the male voices, maybe a deeper voice?
Listened because it was in the RP. Obviously, it is enjoyed for the escapism value.
