Historia
Evangelical Christians are perhaps the most polarizing—and least understood—people living in America today. In his seminal new book, The Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory, journalist Tim Alberta, himself a practicing Christian and the son of an evangelical pastor, paints an expansive and profoundly troubling portrait of the American evangelical movement.

A wonderfully logical demonstration of the difference between an "evangelical" and an Evangelist. Alberta may be the closest thing to an Apostle.

My religiosity trumps your free will choice
Revisado: 08-02-23
I loved this episode and the whole series. I am old enough to remember how history repeats itself. Hearing these stories the threads, and threats, make it clear as day that people are not learning from past mistakes and we are not just destined to repeat our mistakes but we are smack dab in the middle of it.
Start taking away free will and personal choice (these are given by God and actually they are immutable rights) and it could be argued that men trying to overtake God given immutable rights and put man made laws over those rights where will we land? Certainly not any wiser because men have not learned from their history.

Historia
Americans increasingly agree on one thing: Every day that Trump stays in office, he diminishes the United States and its people. TV and radio host Bill Press offers 100 reasons why Trump needs to be removed from office, whether by impeachment, the 25th Amendment, or the ballot box. Beginning with the man himself and moving through Trump’s executive action damage, Press covers Trump’s debasement of the United States political system and destruction of the Republican Party. But, in a political climate where the world has learned to expect the unexpected, Press offers listeners a twist: one reason not to ditch Donald Trump.

Reasons Recycled
Revisado: 12-30-22
I loved it, but found several of the reasons "Trump Must Go" were repeated. It was humorous and entertaining and an easy listen. I will probably relisten to it a few more times. It only covers the first 18 months, and I know how it turns out. I just wish more people had heeded the signs when this book first came out. I hope the author writes about the next 100 reasons "Trump must Go" to cover the LAST (we pray) 2 1/2 years. Or maybe 1000 reasons why he must never get even a whiff of the Oval Office on his 3rd bid for the White House -- Please Merciful God.

Showing Republicans Bellies
Revisado: 10-16-22
Sometimes hilarious double standard of today's Republican Party. The outrageous hypocrisy, laid out in a way that is terrifying for democracy. Entertaining with an all too real and stunning look at the future if we don't pay attention.
I laughed out loud but was left with a real sense of worry about what might be ahead in politics and the future.
Loved every minute of it.

Interesting and Frightening
Revisado: 09-19-22
Couldn't stop listening. How did a few men with unbridled desire for POWER go from a small law practice intent on justice and fairness evolve into such an amoral group dedicated to worshipping money and power? Read the book and find out how subtly yet outlandish it happened under your nose using exclusion and outright authoritarian techniques.

Historia
In Mr. Trump’s campaign against what he calls “Fake News”, CNN Chief White House Correspondent, Jim Acosta, is public enemy number one. From the moment Mr. Trump announced his candidacy in 2015, he has attacked the media, calling journalists “the enemy of the people”. Acosta presents a damning examination of bureaucratic dysfunction, deception, and the unprecedented threat the rhetoric Mr. Trump is directing has on our democracy. When the leader of the free world incites hate and violence, Acosta doesn’t back down, and he urges his fellow citizens to do the same.

narrator performance left me uninspired.
Revisado: 06-05-22
the narrators performance of the female character of graciella weak i could only conjure up a picture of a man in drag. other characters were done well.
the overall story was pretty good, even though I had the Noone character pegged from the beginning, my curiosity kept me listening because I wanted to see how it played out.
I still love Michael Connelly and the characters he creates.
