An amazing story of a world little known to us

I was captivated from the opening chapter, learning about the cult know as the Jehovah Witnesses. I never would have thought that this terrible religion lurked behind those Watch Tower pamphlets. The author brings the story to life in a personal, oft times heartbreaking manor. Her perseverance to escape it all is an inspiration to all that have been emotionally and physically abused. A great read that will leave you reflecting on the story long after the book is done.

I am not a sci fi reader but grew up on Star Trek which I loved. Saw all the five star reviews and had to give it a try. SO WORTH IT! Moving story sprinkled with humor. You will not be disappointed!

It took a little while to get into. This is not ny genre of preference but it had great reviews. So glad I stuck with it!
