If you haven't read "The Hard Parts" I cannot recommend it enough. I ran farther than I have consecutively in weeks after finishing it. I don't think that's a coincidence. I derive inspiration from others being open and honest, especially about the most difficult things. On my run I thought about my own story, so different from hers and how I don't have any right to harbor all the self doubt I still wrestle with in some form daily at 43. But for all our differences (I'm the oldest of 11 children, was raised in a two parent household and have not been through what she has physically and emotionally, she helped me see beyond my limitations and fears. I am truly grateful for the vulnerability and tenacity of both Oksana and Gay. The honesty through their ups and downs has not only inspired me but made me feel seen. I don't ever think it becomes 'easy' to talk about the difficult parts of our past that shape us, but I know that Oksana is a shining example of how you can use it as power to shape your future in a positive direction. I am so grateful to not feel alone in what I experienced attempting to adopt internationally. Gay, thank you for never giving up on Oksana. You inspire me too.

For me, Kristen's story was endlesslessy relatable, and read like a brave tell-all leadership guide for those who put people first. I say that I am a helper first and a salesperson second. I have trouble knowing when to pull the plug on relationships and put up boundaries and as a newer business owner and someone who provides guidance to other entrepreneurs this had me rethinking my leadership approach and leadership team building in some very needed ways. Kristen is super down to earth and my favorite part might be the end where she talks about writing this book and how she knew it was the right book for her. I also love her read of her own book, she absolutely made the pains and victories if her journey come alive!

loved it! Liz has a relatable voice, and is both personal and informative in this workbook that reads like a letter. this book both inspires you to be the best version of yourself and find your inner a rockstar /super hero and shares details some of the transformative journeys of girls she's worked with alongside her personal journey. If you're looking for a 'motivational nonfiction novel' this will leave you ready to take life by the horns!
