Narration is fair on accents. Writing is shallow, and at times is lacking any semblance of grammar and syntax. The title is the best part.

Hard to follow the story as my mind kept wandering. I like my murders with less romance and more twists. Lesson learned.

This series should end. Davenport could retire and the Flowers series could evolve. Thought that I would never finish the damn story. Maybe Sandford could take a cue from Patterson and have another author help him write.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A well written book would be welcomed. One not plagued with poor grammar and syntax.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Davian is appropriately noble.

What does Michael Kramer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Great narration from Kramer with his fine repertoire of voices.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Interesting premise unfolding into a promising trilogy.

Any additional comments?

Had to ask Audible for a refund. Yes, it is that bad.

As usual, Johanna's hokey, one-size-fits -all attempt at a Southern accent, detracts from the story. She did the same accent in the Stackhouse series.

Just enough of the regulars in another good case. Delia Peabody and her pink boots never fail to slay me.

What did you like best about What a Ghoul Wants? What did you like least?

The clever titles are the best part. The heroine's sidekick is a distraction with his annoying whine.

If you’ve listened to books by Victoria Laurie before, how does this one compare?

I enjoyed the detective series more.

What does Eileen Stevens bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

A really bad Welsh accent. Decent Irish voices and bearable Scottish and English accents.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No

Any additional comments?

This series needs to come back to the US or end.
