Excellent story. The actor also does a wonderful job in reading. Hard to believe it is one person doing all the characters. Loved this audiobook!

Listened to it before attending the Broadway musical. Glad I did! I could follow the musical much better. A quick listen that hits all the key events.

Amazing book, even for those who are not spiritual. Do not feel happiness lies in the future; the only true happiness is in the moment.

Have you ever seen a professional version of a play and then seen a high school production? There is a big difference. The author chooses to narrate his book for the audio version. It is painful to listen to this. After listening on Audible to 20+ professionally read books, the amateur attempt sounds, well, amateur. The story is one big tease; one waits and waits for profound insights into happiness, but once we hear what the author has to offer, it is unfulfilling. It is like going to a sales pitch where the presenter goes on for 50 minutes telling you how much you will love the product and what a great product it is and then showing you said product for 5 minutes and having it be a complete let down. The six hours listening to the book felt more like six months.

Would you consider the audio edition of Getting to Yes to be better than the print version?

This book is perfect for listening during one's commute.

Any additional comments?

For the longest time, I thought the best negotiator was the one who could be the toughest. This book shows why that is such a myth. The best negotiator is one who understands their own goals as well as the goals and psychology of the other party to come up with a solution. Prior to reading, I always felt like I was at a disadvantage during negotiations due to poor bargaining skills. I now can enter negotiations with much greater confidence knowing that the other party and I have a common goal of reaching an agreement. As the title of the book states, the key word is agreement. This is entirely different than compromise. Read the book and you will understand!
