these books were great back in the day and the performers are great at keeping them alive now. thanks for keeping my old memories alive. and please finish the rest of the series soon.

learning about the past is important to understanding how things will move forward. This lecture series covers much of how the world changes during this period. I feel that I've learned more than I paid for. The course is geniusly organized to give the most information possible during a short period. I highly enjoyed this and recommend it to all.

Great minus one

i really enjoyed this more than I expected to. The story progresses in a fun amd natural way. the characters grew and changed in ways that were fun to read.
the wad only one spot that gives me cause to not give it the 5 stars. There is one scene that made it quite tricky to share with my sons. I enjoy sharing with them and discussing the books after they finish. But one scene, you will know witch but no spoilers, isn't really PG13. Yeah.
So, as long as you have a mature audience this is great but since one of the characters is the age of my boys I had developed preconceived notions about the whole book being safe for that age group. Now I have to hold off for a couple years. oh well.

I am still enjoying the stories in this series but did find most of this plot to be fairly predictable. I am wondering what's next because it ends, predictably, in a cliff hanger. now I need the next story.

This is nice and had a few unique elements. The plot itself is fairly generic and tried to detract from the story. I enjoyed this a lot and recommend it to others.

For once I don't need to add a "but" to the headline. These are great. This also introduced me to many knew authors I will need to be listening to in the near future. what a great collaboration.

Better than I remember

This is great stuff. Some real science tucked into a fun story. The hero isn't the fairly generic type either. He is a teen with all the whiney and persecuted angst of a teen. Boy is he an idiot at the beginning. He does grow out of it fairly quickly and I could finally like him.
There are gender roles in this that are archaic for our times. So what. There are also multiple monarchies and maybe even a fascist state or two. Times change and so do fashions, including the fashion of governments. Democracy has broken at many points in history and been replaced with dictators. see Rome.
Overall, this was a fast and fun ride. I love the ending punch line.

Great but

I really enjoyed this story collection a lot. I knew from the description that Mr Correa wasn't the main author and just provided one short story and some editing. I lowered my expectations a little due to this. My expectations were blown away. The stories are all good in their own right. I hope others can enjoy them ad I did.

however. yes that sneaks in. These stories don't have the same kind of flow that the main stories have had. I often wondered if these writers had read about this MHI universe for more than a few sentences. some seemed as if they were tweaked a little from general settings to fit in MHI land.
so, I enjoyed these. Just would have enjoyed more if they were a better fit.

This was a fun read/listen, I have to recommend it. I wish the reader was a bit more lively but I still became romantically involved as needed for the proper scenes.
