Historia
Jane Eyre remains a classic of 19th-century English literature and is the most famous and influential novel by Charlotte Bronte. Published in 1847, one of the most popular of all English novels, the story tells of the rise of a poor orphan girl against overwhelming odds. It is a work of fiction with memorable characters and vivid scenes exploring themes that have as much relevance today as in the time it was written.

You won't err with Jane Eyre
Revisado: 06-19-10
I bought this book for my wife; she has read the book many times. Since it was on my iPod, I thought, "What the heck. I bought it, I might as well listen to it." Never having read Jane Eyre, I did not know what to expect. I discovered a delightful narration and pleasant story. Lucy Scott did a wonderful job of reading the book. She made my daily commute to-and-from work something I actually looked forward to.

Historia
Hamlet is one of the great classics, if not the greatest, of English drama. Set in Denmark, the play recounts how Prince Hamlet exacts revenge on his uncle Claudius, who has murdered Hamlet's father, the King, and then taken the throne and married Gertrude, Hamlet's mother.

Not the Hamlet for Me
Revisado: 04-18-10
Although the narrators did a fine job of sticking to the text, I found this version difficult to listen to. It sounded "echoy" at times, as if a microphone had been placed on a stage and the actors were gathered around it. I stuck through the entire play and was disappointed. I opted for a different version and deleted this one from my collection. I must say, this was an inexpensive version, but costly in the end. This was definitely NOT the Hamlet for me.

Experience Hamlet as a powerful full-cast drama with entertaining and enlightening commentary that explains what's what and who's who as the plot unfolds. To help you get the most out of Shakespeare, the narrator offers historical insights and background information, so you can enjoy the jokes, appreciate the references, and get a real sense of Shakespeare's world. The unabridged drama is also presented without commentary.

Commentary Appreciated
Revisado: 04-18-10
This is an excellent narration of Hamlet. The performance keeps the story moving. The version with commentary gives great insight into the play. I enjoyed listening to both versions of the play. Great for students reading Hamlet for the first time as well as for those who have read it many times over. A must buy for your collection.

Awesome Narration
Revisado: 02-12-10
John Lee does an exceptional job at narrating this rather long book. At just under 40 hours of narration, I worried the unabridged version would be too long to follow. This was not the case. Mr. Lee keeps a steady pace, develops the characters with unique voices, and keeps the listener interested with the skill of a master storyteller.
