Incomparable genius
Revisado: 08-31-20
The best stories I have ever listened to. Most importantly, these stories are read by the most masterful narrator, Charlton Griffin, simply unbelievable voice, enunciation, timing, and rhythm. Thank you.

Historia
Here in a single volume is the entire, unabridged recording of Gibbon's masterpiece. Beginning in the second century A.D. at the apex of the Pax Romana, Gibbon traces the arc of decline and complete destruction through the centuries across Europe and the Mediterranean. It is a thrilling and cautionary tale of splendor and ruin, of faith and hubris, and of civilization and barbarism. Follow along as Christianity overcomes paganism... before itself coming under intense pressure from Islam.

Disappointed
Revisado: 04-15-20
I’m disappointed that the reading sounds like it’s been done by a computer, not a human voice. I couldn’t proceed beyond the first few minutes. Just painful to listen to the computerized voice. No judgment on the story, just the reading performance is totally unacceptable.

Historia
Sociologist Émile Durkheim's 1897 work On Suicide is a powerful evidence-based study of why people take their own lives. In the late 19th century it was generally accepted that each suicide was an individual phenomenon, caused by such personal factors as grief, loss, and financial problems. But Durkheim felt there were patterns in suicide rates, and believed that a more likely cause of suicide lay in the individual's relationship to society.

Disappointing
Revisado: 01-25-20
The analysis was repetitive, thin, shallow and superficial. It seems like 5 mins of content has been stretched out and repeated and recycled just to fill up an hour. I’m quite disappointed with Macat.
