Historia
Most books about the history of humanity pursue either a historical or a biological approach, but Dr. Yuval Noah Harari breaks the mold with this highly original book. From examining the role evolving humans have played in the global ecosystem to charting the rise of empires, Sapiens integrates history and science to reconsider accepted narratives, connect past developments with contemporary concerns, and examine specific events within the context of larger ideas.

Realistic description of an egoistic animal
Revisado: 11-02-20
I liked how this book viewed cultures and economy. It worths listening to to understand how easily cultures can misleads their affiliates to create uniqueness among other cultures. It also helps to make a reconnection with other living organisms, an approach that may save coming generations from claiming ownership of planet Earth.

Historia
At least one-third of the people we know are introverts. They are the ones who prefer listening to speaking; who innovate and create but dislike self-promotion; who favor working on their own over working in teams. It is to introverts—Rosa Parks, Chopin, Dr. Seuss, Steve Wozniak—that we owe many of the great contributions to society.

Historia
From the celebrated neurobiologist and primatologist, a landmark, genre-defining examination of human behavior, both good and bad, and an answer to the question: Why do we do the things we do? Sapolsky's storytelling concept is delightful but it also has a powerful intrinsic logic: He starts by looking at the factors that bear on a person's reaction in the precise moment a behavior occurs, and then hops back in time from there, in stages, ultimately ending up at the deep history of our species and its evolutionary legacy.

Scientific hope for individual change
Revisado: 01-23-18
I was interested to learn more about impact of all factors described here and thier role in prediction of human behavior. I became more tolerant with possible motives and more determinant to bit on individuals to deliberately choose to do better things over easy ones.

Where is our place in the animal kingdom?
Revisado: 01-18-18
I enjoyed how scientific approach makes us more humble to accept uncomfortable findings about our relationship with other animals. I also learned how ideology can prevent us from recognizing semilarities between us and other animals who proceeded our existence. It is a releaf to listen to this scientist's journey.

I listened more than once to many chapters. I recommended this wonderful book to half a dozen of my friends. It offers a good view in a subject that is rarely handled with this level of courage and thinking quality.

Historia
Waking the Tiger offers a new and hopeful vision of trauma. It views the human animal as a unique being, endowed with an instinctual capacity. It asks and answers an intriguing question: Why are animals in the wild, though threatened routinely, rarely traumatized? By understanding the dynamics that make wild animals virtually immune to traumatic symptoms, the mystery of human trauma is revealed.
