Historia
In my book, you will meet a little girl named Viola who ran from her past until she made a life-changing decision to stop running forever. This is my story, from a crumbling apartment in Central Falls, Rhode Island, to the stage in New York City, and beyond. This is the path I took to finding my purpose but also my voice in a world that didn’t always see me.

Historia
Solitary is the unforgettable life story of a man who served more than four decades in solitary confinement - in a six-foot by nine-foot cell, 23 hours a day, in notorious Angola prison in Louisiana - all for a crime he did not commit. That Albert Woodfox survived was, in itself, a feat of extraordinary endurance against the violence and deprivation he faced daily. That he was able to emerge whole from his odyssey within America’s prison and judicial systems is a triumph of the human spirit, and makes his book a clarion call to reform the inhumanity of solitary confinement....

Story of Injustice & Redemption
Revisado: 02-07-23
This is by far the hardest and best book I have ever read. It saddens me to see how I the 44 years Mr. Woodfox was incarcerated, the prejudice & racism was unchanged. To subject a guilty man to over 40 years of solitary confinement is wrong, but to do it to an innocent man is unconscionable!!! I pray Mr. Woodfox was able to enjoy his six years of freedom.
This is not only a story about injustice, but a story of friendship! The way Mr. Robert Hillary King, Mr. Herman Wallace & Mr. Albert Woodfox were able to stay true and loyal to each other even though separated for years is incredible. I can only hope to have a friendship that could stand the test of time there’s did.
Awesome book!!! You will cringe, you will get angry, you will cry, but in the end you will rejoice!!!!

Historia
As they recount the events surrounding the disappearance of their toddler—one with a tendency to bite—two parents cope with grief in vastly different ways. While the father wrestles with feelings of guilt, the mother is convinced she’s spotted the boy in frightening TV news reports...though let’s just say he looks nothing like the precocious little boy they remember from a decade ago.

Took awhile to realize this wasn’t a true story….I enjoyed the different view points and how it circled back in the end to the father’s perspective!

Not what you think - Highly Recommended
Revisado: 07-26-21
This book takes you through a maze of truths (partial truths) that as the story plays out, you doubt your interpretation of it. The author did an amazing job of weaving the web of deceit so intricately that when it all blows up you are in total shock & replaying parts in your mind on whether or not you heard what you think you heard.
Loved this book!! Going to look through Audible for more Tarryn Fisher books!!!!

This is the only book of short stories that I have ever listened to back to back!!!! These stories resonated so strongly with me that I am going to look to see if Danni has any new audiobooks!!! I love how she read the book and gave ‘extra’ parts for the audible listeners only!!!! She is amazing, I remember hearing her on the radio when the show she was on was syndicated in Tampa! Loved the book!!!!

Revisado: 06-22-18
Initially I had an opinion based on what I had seen on The Breakfast Club interviews. I thought he was unapologetically rude for no reason...LOL... Well I am so happy my husband insisted I read this book with a open mind. This has got to be one of the best motivational books I have read. His honesty about his life, the ups and downs and gems of knowledge are what makes him so relatable. Looking forward to the next book!!! C da God....class act!
