People are more ready to deny than trust that something bad is happening
Revisado: 03-02-25
This very interesting in that there were many ways that the spread of this virus could’ve been limited or a person saved, but it wasn’t limited or they weren’t saved for what seems simple reasons.
Imo this is a must read to learn and understand how viruses are transmitted, how they mutate, and how they’re limited…especially after the COVID pandemic.

Audio is a must
Revisado: 02-15-21
The story is written with a lot of slang and in narration. Since I didn’t grow up in Singapore, I don’t think I would’ve gotten the same out of this book if I had read it. I really enjoyed the performance. I gave three stars for the story because I see that the main character grows in the story, but her arch is pretty flat. There doesn’t seem to be a sequel to this book which I would’ve liked to see what she does with her new awareness and direction.

Interesting story, I want more
Revisado: 01-01-20
I really like the writing and the performance of the reader. I thought the story was interesting, but I feel like I’m missing information. Maybe this is another of Audible’s free stories that’s supposed to point me to other work that is more in depth? If so, I’m interested. I’m left with a lot of questions.

I tried for over 2 hours
Revisado: 10-25-19
This story goes no where. I tried for over two hours then skipped to the last chapter and still couldn't find myself engaged in this book. The character doesn't appear to grow or learn through this at all. The reader has the same level of dramatic emotion throughout. Micah is supposed to be a young boy and I the reading keeps pulling me out of this story. His acting as other characters is very poor. I'm not sure how others got through this.
Some other reviewers say that this is a young adult book and not an adult book so that's why it may not appeal to adults, but I enjoy YA books and this is just long, boring, and poorly read.

Enjoyed the reading and the story not the ending
Revisado: 10-22-19
I really enjoyed the reading of this story and how it was unfolding. Thought the two female main characters were interesting and written from some the perspective of someone who knew the dynamic between sisters. I dropped my rating from 4 stars to 3 stars because I felt I ended too quickly.

Kristen Leonard is done with setups. She’s not interested in your son or your nephew or your butcher or the guy who mows your lawn, thank you very much, grandma! After all, she’s a modern woman - she’ll take her chances on the algorithms of online dating to find her ideal man. Before long, she meets a man who might just be the one - he’s hilarious, quick-witted, and full of heart. And when she meets up with Cameron in real life, he certainly looks exactly like his profile picture...but something’s not quite right.

It was free and it’s boring
Revisado: 05-03-19
Maybe romance books aren’t for me. I got it for free and it’s a short book so I listened to it waiting for some character development or plot building, but it’s a pretty flat story. There’s an attempt at a twist and it isn’t even a twist. I gave it two stars because the acting was better than one star.

A wonderful performance and a fun story
Revisado: 05-02-19
The actors brought this story to life. I didn’t know anything about this story before I started listening and I really enjoyed it. If there were more in this series performed by this cast, I’d immediately purchase them.

So much better than the movie
Revisado: 05-08-18
I read the book first and I heard that Will Wheaton's reading was worth a listen. It definitley is worth the listen. This book is so much better than the movie. The movie was a fun little romp and Spielberg did a good job, but it only scratched the surface of this rich world that Ernest Cline created and completely ignored the entire foundation of the complete depth of poverty and how much each of these characters had to over come in each of their lives.
What a great job, Will Wheaton. I loved it.
