Historia
What's the actual last thing you'd ever want your executive assistant to see you doing the morning after you had hot, drunk, angry sex with her in a terrible hotel room? Dancing around your terrible hotel room to "Come and Get Your Love" like Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy - naked? Yeah. Me too. And yet, here we are.

Sooo cheesy
Revisado: 01-24-25
I like romantic, love stories and some cheesiness, but this one is over the top. Yes there are some funny parts, but the story is completely predictable and unrealistic. What saved this book was narrators who done great job.

Yet, Owen can't seem to shake this emptiness inside or the intense feeling that something is missing. A sudden encounter with a man from his past, one he despises, turns his entire world upside down. When Owen finds himself attracted to that sexy man, he questions everything, including his sanity.

Boring story
Revisado: 12-03-24
Maybe the idea was interesting, high-school bully and his "victim " fall in love later in life, but the realization was very bad. No character development, no wow moments, nothing. And definitely confirmed that I don't like this narator. He has good performance while reading dialogs, but everything else is so monotone, like he is bored. I will not continue with this series.

Great ending
Revisado: 03-29-24
Even though I am not big fan of mafia books, I loved this series and I was so looking forward to final book. It definitely didn't disappoint. We had a chance to better get to know Brad and his relationship with Pearl. I really loved how girls saved the situation at the end. They saved them in every way. End was nice, maybe a smudge too much.
When it comes to narrators...Lee Elis was just ok,I expected more. He sounded like virtual voice at some moments. I usually dont like when they change narrator throughout series(which happened here with Rose character),but the girl did excellent job.
But Shane East, he was born to play Danny's character. I love to listen to him in every book, but I will miss listening him as Danny.
Way to go JEM,looking forward to your next books.

Historia
David and Isaac have found happiness in each other's arms. In faraway San Francisco, Isaac's brother Aaron helps them explore confusing "English" life and move beyond the looming shadow of their Amish roots. For the first time, David and Isaac can be openly gay, yet they struggle to reconcile their sexuality with their faith. At least they don't have to hide their relationship, which should make everything easier. Right?

Great trilogy
Revisado: 03-27-24
I realized that I really enjoy KA books, not a single one disappointed me.
I liked a lot this trilogy, with the second one being the most boring. Strength of Isaac and David, their love, but also their inner struggle kept me on the edge. I liked the end as well,it is hea, but realistic one for them and their families.
I have learned some details about Amish, that I didn't know before, which is additional plus.

Historia
In a world where every detail of life - down to the width of a hat brim - is dictated by God and the all-powerful rules of the community, two men dare to imagine a different way. At 18, Isaac Byler knows little outside the strict Amish settlement of Zebulon, Minnesota, where there is no rumspringa for exploration beyond the boundaries of their insular world. Isaac knows he'll have to officially join the church and find a wife before too long, but he yearns for something else - something he can't name.

Historia
Isaac and David never thought they'd go back to the Amish world. But when Isaac's younger brother is stricken with cancer, they don't hesitate to return. Their relationship is on the rocks after insecurity and fear drove a wedge between them in San Francisco, and David is determined to make things right. Yet if they thought navigating "English" life was confusing, being back in Zebulon is even more complicated. Their families are desperate to bring them back into the fold, and pressure from the community builds.

I didn't liked this one
Revisado: 03-15-24
Honestly I don't understand all the good reviews. This book was slow, boring, with nothing unexpected happening. I just wanted it to be finished. Also, narrator was somehow flat, she only sounded ok while playing characters and even than I sometimes could not make difference between characters. I won't listen to other books from this author.

Expected more
Revisado: 02-28-24
The story was cute, different, but I expected more. There was no actual plot line, they met, started to date, talked a lot about sex(it seemed like it was the most important thing), had some issues with family and that is it. No drama,no any hype. Also,I don't like this narrator. He sounds the same when his character talks about politics and when he is in the middle of sex scene.
