Historia
It is a widespread belief among liberals that if only Democrats can continue to dominate national elections, if only those awful Republicans are beaten into submission, the country will be on the right course. But this is to fundamentally misunderstand the modern Democratic Party. Drawing on years of research and first-hand reporting, Frank points out that the Democrats have done little to advance traditional liberal goals: expanding opportunity, fighting for social justice, and ensuring that workers get a fair deal.

Historia
Losing your memory? Can't focus or concentrate? Do you have brain fog or tire easily? Have you lost your zest for life or motivation? Do people tell you this is all a normal part of aging? If so, your brain may be growing old too fast, or degenerating. Modern diets, a stressful lifestyle, and environmental toxins all take their toll on the brain. This doesn't just happen to seniors - brain disorders and degeneration are on the rise for young and old alike. The good news is the brain is extremely adaptable and wants to get well.

Historia
Debilitating brain disorders are on the rise - from children diagnosed with autism and ADHD to adults developing dementia at younger ages than ever before. But a medical revolution is underway that can solve this problem: Astonishing new research is revealing that the health of your brain is, to an extraordinary degree, dictated by the state of your microbiome - the vast population of organisms that live in your body and outnumber your own cells 10 to one.

The information is promethean. The narrator uses too much vocal fry. But it's awesome anyway!

A big disappointment. Asking for a refund.
Revisado: 08-30-15
This title is a collection of conversations in what is basically a talk radio format. The authors lightly discuss around the topics of the book by the same title. It is essentially a nine hour sales pitch for the book. It seems disorganized and they don't go into any detail on any one topic. Don't waste your money. I have read Dr. Amen's "Change Your Brain, Change Your Life" and several other books on the brain. This audio does not reveal anything new or particularly enlightening. Additionally, the authors are making broad generalizations based on their clinical experiences. They seem to have the tendency to think that the addicted, mentally ill people they work with are a representative population. That approach may be pragmatic, but is not realistic. Instead of this "audiobook" do yourself a favor and get Norman Doidge's "The Brain That Changes Itself" or better yet "The Brain's Way of Healing." I suppose the actual book "Unchain Your Brain" might be worth reading/listening to, but don't waste your time on these discussion audios unless you are a die-hard Amen fan and just can't get enough of his work.
