Historia
Even at a young age, Xiao Ming (boy Sherlock Holmes) has a reputation among his peers for his keen powers of observation. His budding skills are put to the test when he is tasked with finding a thief at school. Mandarin Companion is a series of easy-to-listen-to novels in Chinese that are fun to listen to and proven to accelerate language learning.

Great Introductory Learning Book
Revisado: 10-18-23
This level of graded reader is hard to make interesting but the authors do a good job of making them somewhat funny and interesting despite their restrictions.
The stories are simple and easy to follow, with a lot of repeated structure to make sure you really understand what is going on, which is helpful when you’re learning.
The speaker is clear and at a comfortable pace for this level. My only minor complaint is that they pronounce 谁 as shuí instead of shéi, which is less common to my understanding.
