The title is accurate
Revisado: 02-22-16
The title of this book is accurate, as opposed to some books whose title leads you to expect more. The book is also autobiographical in some senses. This might be why some reviewers think that the book includes information that seems only tangentially relevant to its theme. I can understand why Harris included this information, but I sometimes wondered where he was going. I also found his voice and presentation of the material a little off-putting at times, which at first surprised me, because he is a newscaster. The problem was his tone and pace, which seemed too fast at times. He is critical of some of the self-help movement, in a practical sense. He does seem to distill some of the more useful ideas for self-help into actionable steps, though he admits that implementing them is not easy.

Excellent, very helpful
Revisado: 01-14-16
I really enjoyed and learned from this book. The narrator is excellent. I will be listening to this again. I may even have to buy this one in print, and I will look at Singer's other books.

As someone who is at point of change and, hopefully, growth, I appreciate this recording and certainly plan to listen to it again; I'm sure I'll continue to get even more out of it. It isn't available as a book so I found myself going to my computer to type quotes from it. I love her guiding and generous spirit.

Really like the content of this book
Revisado: 12-06-14
I would classify this book as natural history. Though it begins a bit slow, the stories are wonderful and I love how it touches on so many current problems with agriculture and our food supply in an engaging and accessible way.
This is only the 2nd book I've listened to, so I don't have much to say about performance.
