Historia
Like no book before it, Preachers of Hate uncovers an ancient hatred that threatens the life and livelihood of every American. The "new" anti-Semitism targets not only Jews, but Americans specifically and the West in general. It targets our values, our lifestyle, and our freedoms. It is the single most important issue we face when trying to make sense of the Arab world.

breathtaking - literally
Revisado: 01-25-04
What this book has to say is so frightening, that literally, my breath was taken away as I listened. The book is so involving I lost track of time, only to find myself stopping because I was unable to go on.
As this book describes, the rapidly growing worldwide depth of hatred for Jews and the United States is so ingrained, and so profound, and evidence of this hatred is so clearly bolstered by mountains of facts, that one comes away after listening with a different feeling of how incredibly unsafe the world is, not only for Jews, but for anyone who might fall into the 'infidel' classifcation.

Crisis of Islam
Revisado: 01-04-04
I chose this book because I wanted to know more about the Mideast, and particularly, about the roots of terrorism. I listened to the book over the past week and finished it a couple of days ago.
Tonite I watched the news playing the translation of another tape released by bin Laden. Having read Crisis of Islam, for the first time, I felt like I understood the history and allusions referred to in bin Laden's message.
I am going to listen to Crisis of Islam a second time to try to absorb more (and have also purchased his other book "History of the Mideast and am reading this detailed and interesting history as well).
In sum, an informative, interesting and relevant book - would highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn about the world post 9/11. By the way, I found the author's reading to be excellent, conveying the inflection and tone to match his words.

Ghost soldiers
Revisado: 09-07-03
Some books are interesting, others engrossing and other's tell stories sure to be remembered for quite some time. This book falls into all three categories. What a profoundly moving book! Excellent narration. Learned a lot about WWII at the same time!

Gripping and informative
Revisado: 09-05-03
I have to face it, I am only interested in books that can keep my attention and are almost as gripping as a movie. This book is it. I listened to D-Day over a few days on vacation and couldn't put the player down. I felt like I learned a lot about World War II and in particular, D-Day. Ambrose narrates the book in a personal and effective manner. I look forward to "reading" more Ambrose!

the agony and the agony
Revisado: 06-16-03
With such original sayings as "team leaders are the leaders of tomorow" and "blame spreading almost always causes people to duck and hide," etc. this book has nothing to offer anyone with any intelligence at all. Whereas the original Dale Carnegie's books were written with a simplicity that strikes chords and stimulates and motivates, this book would be best used for insomniacs to help them get to sleep.
